    1. 3.5 StarsLet's just put it out there this is way to short. I mean it's a good length for a novella BUT I want more. I loved the character building. In a few pages Painter made me feel like I know Pandora and Theo. I got where they were coming from, what drove them and felt like I knew them. Then this isn't really surprising, because I kinda got to expect this when I read anything by Painter. The story line is sweet, a bit too insta love for miss-commitment-issues over here, but again, it's a nov [...]

    2. Two things that I should probably start my review with in the interest of full disclosure: First, I'm a total Kristen Painter fangirl, and second, that I received this ARC at no cost to me from the author herself. Now that that's out of the way, I get to gush about the story ;)Pandora Bramble is a bit of a wallflower. With her "average" looks (in her mind, at least)and above-average intelligence (and skill with mechanics), coupled with the fact that her best friend is an über-gorgeous flirt wit [...]

    4. Miss Pandora Bramble thinks that she has missed her only chance of gathering the evidence she needs to restore her father's honor, and that there is no hope of ever again finding a way back onto the airship, Daedulus. But fate steps in to give Pandora another shot when a customer with a broken spyglass turns out to be not only the handsome airman who foiled Pandora's plans and stole a kiss, but he is also the airship's captain. So when Captain Theolonius Hatch, entranced by Pandora's spirit and [...]

    5. Good story with a rich foundation and tons of potential for incredible depth. But, as a novella, it's just too rushed. I also could never quite figure why she just didn't tell the truth and ask for help. Especially if they were so in love. Couldn't have made the situation any worse and may have avoided heart-break.

    6. I absolutely love steam punk stories so this definitely hit the spot. The female protagonist is intelligent and strong, just how I like to read them. She looks after her father and thinks shes plain and simple next to her beautiful friend. Used to being over looked its a shock to her when she meets a man with green eyes that only seem to see her. To make things complicated shes on a mission to prove that the Company stole her father's invention. Shes determined to gather evidence, the only probl [...]

    7. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.Pandora Bramble lives a middle class life. Her mother is gone and her father spends his time in the drink or at the tables. And she's determined to prove that her fathers invention was stolen so that they may have a better lot in life. Theolonius is a Leviathan captain and dead set against visiting the 'unwashed masses'. An unexpected encounter and neither can forget the other.Set in a time of corsets and long dresse [...]

    8. So I love Kristen's work. this book is included. I was so excited to read this book and it is not like her other books. I stayed up late just to read it. I love the short, cute steampunk romance, a nice change from some of the 'heavy' novels I sometime read by other authors. Kristen writes amazing books and this book is one of them.

    9. I love Steampunk stories. Kristen Painter's Miss Bramble and the Leviathan is no exception. From the first word, to the last, I could not stop reading. I immediately felt for Miss Bramble, and fell just as hard as she did for Captain Hatch. This story has everything, humor, romance, suspense. Definitely a 1-click!

    10. This was a pleasant little novella, if not a bit predictable. Still I found myself enjoying the characters and the world building. In all honesty I am surprised that I liked the cast of the story as much as I did. Initially I wasn't sure if I liked the female MC, Pandora.Like in a lot of romance novels the protagonist is the witty wallflower that has grown to spinsterhood. No man could ever like her, want her, or desire her! Actually, I am pretty sure that is the premise for every regency romanc [...]

    11. Miss Bramble and the Leviathan by Kristen PainterA steampunk novella with the expected cogs, airships, and toolkit. But also an adorably fun romance. It had humor. It had mechanicals. The heroine was super smart about all things machine and inventions. All around, a great adventure.Captain Theolonius Hatch is he Captain of the Leviathan airship that just docked.Pandora Bramble is determined to get on board and into the engine room to prove her family's good name. When they meet, he is entertained [...]

    12. I was lucky to get and ARC of this book for exchange of an honest review.Whenever Kristen offers up the chance to review her novels or novellas I jump at the chance to get a copy. The way she draws you into her stories and the way she excites you till the very last page. Steampunk is a genre that I want to explore more into and Kristen has pleased me.Pandora is a middle class woman who looks after/works for her father but wishes she could lead her own life. She planning to retrieve the stolen va [...]

    13. I picked this up to get a sample of Kristen Painter's writing before the release of Blood Rights later this year. I wasn't disappointed. The romance was full of tension and the banter between the hero and heroine was fun to read. The steampunk elements make for interesting additions to the story, but really the story would work in any other setting with little more than a change of wardrobe. My only criticism is that I couldn't buy into the point of Miss Bramble's mission to steal the valve from [...]

    14. I really liked Pandora Bramble. She's smart, she's got gumption, but she's not perfect. And I love that what attracted Theo to her first was the fact that she knew about steamship engines. Although I'm generally disappointed in romance novellas because I feel they gloss over too much relationship development, this one did pretty well in that department. And it made me cry, in a good way, so, it gets an extra star for that. The tears were quite unexpected, but when Pandora found out that she just [...]

    15. I am a huge fan of Kristen Painter’s work so I literally read everything I could find written by her. Miss Bramble and the Leviathan was very different from her very positive, funny and romantic Nocturne Falls series or dark and serious House of Comarré and Crescent City. This is a very cute steampunk romance novel. Kristen Painter keeps surprising me with the versatility of her writing. It is a very passionate (not explicit) steampunk short story featuring an incredibly capable heroine and a [...]

    16. I received an ARC for an honest review.I've found steam punk to be a hit and miss genera. I am a huge Kristen Painter fan, so when the opportunity to read this came up, I jumped on it. I've only read Kristen's Paranormal series (Commare and Nocturne Falls) previously, and loved them. Kristen's steam punk expedition was as rewarding a journey in reading as are all the previous books of her's I've read.Miss Bramble and the Leviathan is a wonderful read. Clever, and keeps you guessing until almost [...]

    17. * I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. *This was a very different style of book by author Kristen Painter, but it was just as good as all of her other series. It just goes to show the reader what a versatile author she can be. This was more of a steampunk romance and it was a lot of fun for the reader! It was a short story that packed the punch of a full length novel. We meet Pandora (Pandy) who is always trying to take care of everyone else that she often times neglects herselfj [...]

    18. I've been a fan of both Kristen Painter and Steampunk for years, so Miss Bramble and the Leviathan has been on my wish list for a while. Now it's being re-released with a new cover. My favorite thing in a Steampunk story is usually the airship, so I was thrilled when the book starts out with a tour of one. I also love those women who can build or repair the fantastic Steampunk gadgets and Pandora checks that box as well. And the ultimate hero has to be the airship captain, so I'm loving everythin [...]

    21. Wow! Kristen can write any genre she takes a notion to and it would be a success. Such a talent. I have read her Nocturne Falls series, which is paranormal romance and her Crescent City books, which are like paranormal romance/urban fantasy. Now she brings us this lovely Stampunk story. I LOVE steampunk. Never would've thought so but a friend once insisted I read a few books by an author that wrote this genre. To my surprise, I loved them! Well, Kristen certainly doesn't disappoint with this one [...]

    22. DisappointedMs. Painter, this was not in league with the many other fine novels and series that you have written. I purchased this because I have thoroughly enjoyed the H.o.C Sin City, Crescent City, and Nocturne Falls series so very very much. But disappointed is an understatement. Pandora is supposed to be level headed and mechanically inclined, yet she barely says or does anything to back this description, almost the opposite. And as Theo is supposed to fall for her based on her mind, again, [...]

    23. I've read several steampunk books and enjoyed the genre , but this must be the cutest story yet. The main characters are both interesting and intelligent, with a great deal of depth that hasn't even begun to be plumbed in this novella. The action is well played out and comes to a satisfying conclusion, but I REALLY want to know more about Pandora and Theo, as well as her best friend Simka. I hope Miss Bramble and the Leviathan is the first of many full-length books! As a matter of fact, I would [...]

    24. **** Gladys #XOXOtheNerdGirl ****Kristen Painter's entrance into the Steampunk Genre is just as graceful and fluid as all her other works. As a longtime fan, I always purchase her books and enjoy reading them over and over again!! Miss Bramble and the Leviathan is no different!!! Although this novella was a quick read, I was delighted to find well rounded characters and well developed world building. I enjoyed Pandora and Theo's story and everything fancy-like about the Steampunk genre. I hope t [...]

    25. Great Book! This is a great book by Kristen Painter. Pandora Bramble is determined to find the proof that a company stole the regulator valve her father designed even if she has to tear down the engine to find the proof. Captain Theolonius Hatch is sentenced to the engine room duty for refusing to take part in the company’s fleet week activities. What he wasn’t expecting was Pandora. If you are looking for a great romance, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to the next book [...]

    26. Pandora Bramble has come up with the perfect plan to get proof that the Company Stole one of her father's inventions. what she didn't account for was the Captain of the ship to be present and to take liberties that she was more than willing to part with. Will Pandora's plan work or will she fall head over heels with the Captain? Enjoy! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

    27. I have to say I loved Pandora and Theo's story The way they meet and how fireworks just explode right from the start. How Pandora's mind works , the way Theo is able to almost stop getting in to deep to fast. I loved also the steampunk idea of this book too. So if you are wanting a loving, laughing and all around entertaining book to read this is the one. Kristen Painter writes what I like to read about some trouble with the characters and yet somehow end up the right way.

    28. I loved the premise of the book, but I was a little disappointed with a) how short the story was, and b) how easily the situation was resolved. The characters could have used a little more fleshing out, if only to make the two mains stand out from the three supporting. I would have liked more in-between scenes, or private thinking and enterprise between the more important meetings of the two main characters. I LOVED the captain (hahaha), and Miss Bramble was terribly amusing as well.

    29. I didn't realize this was a novella when I started it, but really it covered what it needed to cover. Pandora Bramble was endearingly competent, and I love the fact that that's what Thelonious Hatch valued about her. The steamy bits were totally believable, and in the end, I found myself genuinely invested in the well-being of the characters. I think that adding enough pointless conflict and miscommunication to make this story novel length would have detracted from it.

    30. I adore this book. Me Painter is very skilled at character building. The characters in this book have become my friends. She always creates people I'd like to know. I recommend this book to granny like myself as well as teens into steampunk. I would love to see a sequel to this excellent story.
