    1. I can't stand this bloke. I don't know what it is. My hatred isn't based upon being a regular listener, forced to hear his crap blearing out the speakers in some shared office environment or personal experience or seeing him speak at length on the TV, because more than often, as soon as he appears, the channel is swiftly changed. It's just that what I have seen and heard before having the chance to prize the remote out of my girlfriend's hands is that he looks like someone who deserves a good sl [...]

    2. You won't really like this book unless you listen to his radio show. If you haven't ever heard of him he is on Radio 1 out of London.

    3. At the time I did enjoy this, but looking back I'm really surprised. It tries to be funny, but I'm not sure how often it actually hits the mark.

    4. An decent autobiography should be insightful and offer a view in to the writer's life. This particular Gospel is rather light on both. I feel that if the style of writing contained more depth then the book may have held my attention more. However, this is definitely aimed at the lowest common denominator and as a result misses the mark. There are some small moments that cause a wry smile, but the essence of what makes Moyles great is lost in translation. Unfortunately it feels like a cash cow.

    5. Its funny, its easy to read and dosent need a huge amount of concentration. In fact when i began reading this book I was already reading another,I was finding said other book quite boring nothing much was happening so I took a break from that and borrowed my sisters copy of 'The Gospel according to Chris Moyles' by the end of the first page I think I was laughing.Chris Moyles may not be the best writer in the universe but he gets straight to the point and has plenty of funny story about his life t [...]

    6. I love Chris Moyles, I've been listening to him for the ten years he's been at Radio 1 (that includes the VERY early mornings he did when he first started) and the book reads like an extended version of one of his rants or long, drawn-out stories. Essentially, that's what it is, a collection of anecdotes and stories about him growing up, his early career, meeting Comedy Dave (Dave taking R1 off the air had be in stitches on the bus) and the rest of his R1 team.I think he's fab but can completely [...]

    7. Read this on a plane journey so it served it's purpose to keep me entertained enough to distract me from the fact that I was miles up in the air with my life in the hAnds of a pilot who I was pretty sure had just eyed up the air-hostess. Other than that though there surely can't be that much good to say about it?! Chris moyles is great on radio 1, a true talent. For the publics sake the publishers should just leave him alone. Let him excel speaking to us from a box room full of hi-tech equiptmen [...]

    8. This first book from Moyles tells us about his childhood and his venture into radio up to landing his dream job at Radio one told through funny stories and anecdotes. It’s entertaining enough and gives a good insight into the life of a unique radio DJ whom lots of people have grown up listening to. It's not the best written autobiography but the comical content and ease of style makes up for it.

    9. Good book. I realise the nation is divided where Chris Moyles is concerned - you either love him or hate him (or don't give a damn). Personally I love him I really enjoyed this book, he has a great sense of humour and it shows through in his writing. He's had to work really hard (and he's done some crappy jobs) to get to where he is today, and his journey has provided him with some great stories. I'm definitely going to be reading his second book

    10. I really like Chris moyles so was really excited to get his book, and even more so when he signed it for me. However I was left disappointed and bored. I wanted to know more about his life how he got to where he is now and I was left wanting. sorry Chris, stick to your radio shows, it's what your good at.

    11. I feel bad for giving him 2 stars, but let's just say he needs to stick to being a Radio DJ. I liked how he explained the route to get into Radio 1 and displaying of the usual family photos. However, it didn't give any insight into his life, which you'd expect from an biography. Best stick to radio, Chris.

    12. There was some interesting anecdotes in this book, but the writing style was horrible. When I read a book I like to become engrossed in it, which is quite difficult when the writer seems to be shouting at you on every other page. I love Chris Moyles' style on the radio; however, it doesn't translate well into the written word.

    13. A humorous look at the journey of BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Chris Moyles. As a listener to the show via SiriusXM it is interesting to read about the inner working of an entertaining morning show. US DJs could learn a few things.

    14. I love autobiographies and I kinda have a man crush on Chris. I've listened to his show on Radio 1 practically since he started and I find him an inspiration. A normal lad who did very well in his life and still is.

    15. This was a fairly enjoyable read - having listened to him for years there wasn't much I didn't know. It does make me sad though that the radio show isn't on anymore. He and the team really were the best.

    16. I originally started reading this years ago, but never finished it. I read it again in the last week or two and thoroughly enjoyed it - I love his radio show, and his style of humour and it fits really well with the book. Great read (if you're a fan)!

    17. A quick read with no real surprises. Fluffy and coloquial in writing style -- Moyles writes as he speaks.

    18. Funny insight to the man who wakes people up in the morning. Love the radio show and so I borrowed this from a work mate. Laugh out loud moments.

    19. Shit. Read it in a few hours, can I have them back please so I can go watch some paint dry whilst sticking hot needles in my eyes

    20. Average read - not as funny as I thought it might be.Still interesting to read how his Radio career progressed though

    21. This was a basic run through the life of Chris Moyles. It does what it set out to do, but I feal it was rushed and lacked any depth. I might try the second book and see if it has improved.

    22. Nice change from the normal stuffy autobiographies but though he tries to get his humour across in text it never lives up to his radio broadcasts.

    23. We have been listening to this BBC Radio 1 show since it started so I got a kick out of this book and the stories in it that related to the radio show.
