It has valuable information on how our children learn as well as games and activities that you are able to copy straight from the book. This book is a great resource--the book itself is inexpensive because it is geared towards parents, and techniques are presented very clearly.The books focuses on a sight-word technique, building on a basis of functional sight words. It is designed for readers with Down syndrome, but the techniques here could work with any student who learns best via visuals/sight words.     3. For teachers who are working with students who are lower, this book has tons of great ways to start the reading process. Lots of work with learning names, family members and very simply vocab. I wish there had been more material for higher functioning students with Down syndrome.
