    1. Good Book, I wanted to come through this book and slap all the lies out this women, OMG! she was getting on my nerves I shook my head damn near thru the entire book. Of course the the end doesn't say if he actually took her back or not, but left us to think that he was strongly thinking about it for the child sake and the fact that he indeed loved her. but she was ridiculous.

    2. What I learned from this book - there are always consequences to your actions whether it's good or bad. "What goes around comes around" but you can sometimes pick up the pieces.

    3. This book is phenomenal I would strongly recommend to everybody to read it. You will learn a lot from this book, and I guarantee you will not regret reading this book.

    4. What I learned from this book - the difference between His grace and His mercy. Grace is getting something you don't deserve mercy is not getting something that you do deserve.

    5. Think Jasmine Think--LiesLiesLiesI loved this book Jasmine kept making her web of lies worse. Even though she loved her husband she still is the same. Moving to another city did not stop her past catching up to her. She wanted revenge but she was the one that gets the short end of the stick. This is a MUST read !!

    6. This was my first time reading anything by Victoria Christopher Murray and I really enjoyed this so much so I purchased all of the books that she has written with Jasmine Lawson Bush. This book had me laughing out loud.

    7. I loved this book! The book flows well, and gives an "honest" portrayal of Christians. Not all of us can be good to shoes! You will not be disappointed!

    8. I listened to this book on audible. The narrator was distracting. The delivery was not fluid and felt like a test run.The story itself held the same slow yet steady pace to the finish. The normal lull with a sprinkling of drama. I appreciated the fact that I was not beat over the head with scripture after scripture, which is what happened in Temptation. It felt as if every paragraph contained a scripture and no character dialogue was complete unless it contained a scripture. The character develop [...]

    9. #2I was truly hoping Jasmine's change was for the betterEach act she performs makes it more difficult to believe it. Hosea is definitely a man of God. This second installment was a good read & has me wondering what other deceptive maneuvers she has in store.

    10. Just goes to prove that all of us are imperfect yet we have a perfect God who can restore anything and anyone that is broken.

    11. I have a copy (autographed to someone else) packed somewhere that I got from a past co-worker while working at a private school library--telling me this was a "must-read" around 2008. Now I cannot locate the woman to return the copy and still didn't get the opportunity to read it until now but I am actually reading a copy from a co-worker at my current job. While reading at work, already seeing Jasmine's conniving mannerisms that make me cringe, especially in the church thinking she can sit in t [...]

    12. Excellent novel. By the end, I was in tears. Jasmine Larson Bush is something else. A force to be reckoned with, and not at all in a good way!For a while, I had heard folks going on and on about Jasmine, but I was truly not ready for her devious ways. She is a deceitful, conniving, lying thing who gets herself tangled in the worse kind of messes. She prays long and hard, finds enough redemption to get what she wants, but then falls back into her cunning, woeful ways. A Sin and a Shame is a perfe [...]

    13. This was my first time reading a book by this author. I have to say I am very impressed. I was expecting "Christian corniness" as if often the case with Christian fiction. The character of Jasmine Larson Bush is a hot mess but I was truly touched to see how God began to move in her life. Toward the end, I was even able to bring clarity to some things in my own life by comparing them Jasmine's. No I don't have a tale quite like hers but I was able to recognize recent situations where instead of l [...]

    14. After running from her past life Jasmine finds herself in New York ready to start over. Now becoming a Christian and a changed women she is ready to live her life on the right path.Giving up on love she finds herself head over hills for a preacher man but as the saying goes the devil never wants to see you happy. Has her past finally caught up with her? This was and fast paced and entertaining read. These characters are a trip from page one. I love that this book came with a nice message forgivenes [...]

    15. Started off really slowly and I almost gave up on it, but kept going because it was for Book Club. Unfortunately, this book doesn't pick up steam until p. 85 (by then, a lot of readers will already have quit), but for those who stay, Murray makes it worth it. A compelling, soap-opera style book that has you shaking your head going, "how could she" as you keep turning pages. Skim the first 85 pages, then sit back and enjoy.

    16. After fleeing Los Angeles when her attempt to break up her best friend's marriage fails, Jasmine is now a changed womand a Christian. She quickly meets her mate -- a preacher -- who falls head over heels in love with her. Things start slipping when another man from Jasmine's past, and an unexpected pregnancy threatens to sabotage all of her dreamsAnother excellent story from Murray who once again leaves you wanting more.I recommend you add this book to your list of books to read

    17. After her scheme to break up her best friend's marriage fails, Jasmine is ready to begin her new life. She attends church every Sunday, swears off married men, and begins her mission to find her soulmate. It doesn't take long to meet the one God has chosen for her - a pastor. (Isn't God good!) But when another man from her past threatens to destroy her perfect relationship, can Jasmine leave behind her lying and devious ways? Or will she find old habits hard to break?

    18. I finished this book although it was like chewing nails. Definitely not at the top of my list. The sotry seemed so been there and done that and it just didn't capture my interest. When I read I like to feel like I am apart of the book, but this story/writing didn't give me that feeling. I felt like I was just reading a book to read it. I loved JOY by this same author, but this one was disappointing.

    19. I loved a sin and a shame. Jasmine, I think is a psycho and bless Hosea heart for loving her. I just didn't like that Jasmine didn't come compeletly clean at the end about the lies she told Hosea. And that I Mae Frances never held up her end of the bargin (going to church) after Jasmine and Hosea reconcile their marriage. It left me wanting more.

    20. A novel about a man eater wanting to go to chruch for the wrong reason, men. To find a new boyfriend and yet when she does she lies although the love comes through and works out just really well i didn't like how much she lied and how much she went back to her old ways. but it was still a good read.

    21. What a great book about having 'faith', and overcoming obstacles. In this book, Hosea is a strong man, and he definitely put his pride behind him. I am not sure that the average man / husband would be able to overcome the severity of how his wife betrayed him. Would definitely recommend this book!

    22. This was my first time reading this author. This book was a sequel from "Temptation" which I hadn't read but I was still able to follow along with the story. I don't like to read books out of sequence but this was a loaner from a friend so I read it anyway so I could return it. This was a great read and I look forward to reading more from this author.

    23. Another must read in her collectionThis started out a little different I was angry and had to stop reading a few times I finally sat and decided to read all the way through ended really well.

    24. My favorite author has done IT again. I love this series. I love the way Jasmine is growing and evolving but still has a lot more growing to do. I am now reading the next book in this series. Bravo Victoria Christopher Murray.

    25. Amazing!!! I simply LOVE this book. The descriptions ensures that you will be on the crazy ride with the main character. You feel what she feels and can picture everything that is happening. You'll love it. I've read this book 100 times and still love the surprises and shenanigans. A must read!!

    26. I think this was a good Christian fiction book. I am glad that Jasmine decided to not to sleep with married men no more when she got married to Hosea Bush and which she have found the love of her life and left her past behind.
