    1. 5 The gang's all here Stars SpoilersFirst read August 2012 Reread February 12, 2016Reread Feb 9 2017Okay so Dark Celebration the 17 th book in the Dark series is a special book. It is no one persons story but like a get together for all the past couples. All the Carpathians are coming home to the Carpathian Mountains to celebrate Christmas together at Raven and Prince Mikhail's request. This review will be full of spoilers because this book didn't really have a plot other then the party and each [...]

    2. This one was amazing! All the couples are back in the Carpathian Mountains for Christmas! I loved this so much! It made me laugh and had some very tender parts too. I enjoyed getting caught up with the couples and I thought Feehan used a great format to give us all the different POV's. My favorites Gregori and Vikirnoff made me love them even more. Plus now I have a new boyfriend to add to the list- Dimitri. He is such a sweetheart and I hope he doesn't have to wait too long for Skylar!

    3. After the recent attack on his life, prince of the Carpathian people Mikhail Dubrinsky has called together all of the hunters and their lifemates for a Christmas celebration in the Carpathian mountains. For some time, his people have been hunted not only by vampires, but also fanatical humans from the Morisson Center for Psychic Research. Now a new threat has surfaced in the form of the evil dark mage Xavier and his grandson Razvan. With enemies joining forces and surrounding his people, Mikhail [...]

    4. 3.5 starsIt may be that this series has run it's course for me. I really don't like the direction Feehan has taken, by adding MORE and MORE paranormal types. First, she added the world of the Jaguar. Then we got mages. Then Dragonseekers. And I see that in the next book, there are going to be werewolves. I just feel like the whole world she set up isn't the same anymore. And I miss the gothic romantic feel of the older books. Really, with the exception of Book 11 (where the whole mage storyline [...]

    5. "Dark Celebration" is the story of well everyone. In this reunion novel Mikhail, the prince of the Carpathians ponders upon their fate, as the enemies close in and their women struggle with fertility-either being unable to conceive or the baby isn't able to outlive the first crucial year of life.An update on the lives of our so many various couples, this book explores and gives us the "happily ever after?" of all of the people we have previously met, as well as introduces us to some new ones.A sp [...]

    6. I liked this book which touched on most of the couples that we have met in the other books. We also get a glimpse of two couples that I'm sure will be in upcoming books. There is a flurry of pregnancies, and alot of snow. The are alot of children to meet, including one that makes an unexpected appearance. There is treachery, bravery, and some unexpected uses of power. I liked the narrator of the audio book and hope to listen to more in the series. Thank God for headsets during those sexy scenes! [...]

    7. My favorite, favorite, favorite Carpathian book ever. The thing I love about reading series is getting to revisit all my favorite characters. Many times it's only a peek into the lives of one or two characters, but here Feehan has caught us up on the lives of all the Carpathians and I didn't want the book to end. I loved seeing everyone again, most especially Barack and Syndil, who I wish had their own book.I enjoyed the setup for future lifemates, and am looking forward to Manolito and MaryAnn' [...]

    8. Oh good glory. I did this book as a playaway (digital audio book). I don't know who's brilliant idea it was, but they had a man narrate it. Not just a man, but a geezer sounding man. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Do you know how hard it was to listen to a geezer guy saying "he pulled her against the hard evidence of his bodies desires"? rofl. Then his female voices were pitiful. omg. Never, never have a man narrate a romance book. Who's brainstorm was that, I want to know. The guy sou [...]

    9. Dark Celebration is a bit different than the other books within the Dark Series. However I have read this book quite frequently from the library, and I thought it was about time to do a review on it. For those of you who don't know much or really none about this series, let me explain it a bit for you. The Carpathian series, is a paranormal series, very similar to vampires, however Carpathians are a bit different from vampires. The Carpathian race is dying out, they are a honorable race, however [...]

    10. Nothing says Christmas quite like gingerbread cookies, twinkling lights, and an alpha male Carpathian rocking his lifemate's world. Seriously. I have a lot of Christmas romance novels I like to re-read for the holidays, but for some reason my favorite is Dark Celebration by Christine Feehan. This book is really only for long-term Feehan fans who have been following the Dark series since the beginning. It is really cool to see old favorite characters come together in the Carpathian mountains for [...]

    11. 5 estrellazas.

    12. I like my Carpathians and the ending was sad but gave hope. I like how the series is unfolding a new hope. This book took me nine months to finish but not because it was boring but because school happend. Looking forward to reading "Dark Possession (Dark #18)"

    13. It was nice getting to see everyone interacting together, it made them seem more as race fighting for one goal rather than individual fighters.

    14. This book was a great way to tie all of the previous Carpathians stories together and it was a good family reunion. It was also a nice tie in to the next book, Dark Possession.

    15. I thought this book was brilliant. A celebration that let us catch up with all the characters and see how the Carpathians are doing in general and against this battle they are just really learning about. Loved meeting Dimitri, seeing how all the hunters are learning to tease and have fun and how all the women are growing in their powers and talents! Really thought it was great to include each couple and then their interaction with the prince and the group. The Christmas play. Especially Santa’ [...]

    16. Loved it! Loved catching up with most of the couples and learning about the coming babies. Loved the running theme about the Carpathians trying to make human food. Funny stuff!Anyone who has read my prior Dark series reads knows that I absolutely HATE Barack. Guess what?! I STILL hate him! He absolutely rubs me the wrong way and I hated him in this book too!

    17. A great story that lets us reconnect with old friends and learn about new intrigues, all while leading into "Dark Possession."

    18. Another Carpathian novel--Raven is determined to start a new tradition among the Carpathians by bringing as many of them together as possible to attend a Christmas celebration in the Carpathian mountains. We are given the chance to become reacquainted with many Carpathian couples--Nicolae and Destiny, Vikirrof and Natalya, Julian and Desari, Darius and Tempest, Barack and Syndil, Riordan and Juliette, Gabriel and Francesca, Byron and Antonietta, Jacques and Shea, Rafael and colby etc. as well as [...]

    19. Dark Celebration is yet another fantastic addition and the 17th in Christine Feehan’s Dark Series. I am totally immersed into the world of the Carpathians and have grown to love all the characters that form a part of the family. This story brings back together old and new friends together to celebrate Christmas together, which is filled with the love, loyalty and unity they all share. Its great seeing how the couples are doing, seeing their children growing and to feel their closeness as a fami [...]

    20. Out of all the Carpathian books, I think this one is probably one of my favorites. All the characters from the previous books are back and you are able to see how their lives have changed since finding their mates. It's Christmas time in the Carpathian mountains. That means the miracle of births and Santa Claus. Raven has convinced Mikhail to call all his Hunters back to the mountains for a celebration. Shae is about to give birth to her son and the Prince is on a quest to find a Santa. Every tim [...]

    21. One of the most anticipated books I wanted. Chapter 4 -- when Gabriel snatches his daughter's lifemate by the throat -- I was on pins and needles. That one chapter was worth the price of the hardcover! Plus, bless Ms. Feehan's heart Raven and Savanna kept to the background and the other lifemates held center stage. It was great having all the couples together in one book. I discovered a new appreciation for Natalyia in this book, a revisit with Jaxon and Lucian, Francessca was more than bearable [...]

    22. I Loved this book in the series. All the Carapathians go back to the Carapathian Mountains to celebrate Christmas. there was no huge drama in this one, minor drama, but it was great to see all the couples and their children gathered in one place for Christmas. The females were trying to cook, craziness ensues as with any family holiday. New lifemates were discovered, but not bound to the males, showing where her next stories would go. A very lighthearted, but well written book in the series and [...]

    23. I enjoyed this, even though I did not read all 16 books that came before it (I think I made it through about 7 or 8 of them). I liked the updates on couples I've read about and even the glimpses into the lives of the couples I haven't read about yet were enjoyable. There was just enough information to clue me in as to how they met, some of their trials, etc. I had forgotten how very attractive and passionate those Carpathian men are! I think this author is among some of the best writers in this [...]

    24. A good "where-are-they-now" follow-up of the series with some pretty exciting glimpses into a future book (don't you think it's about time Ms. Feehan wrote Dimitri and Skyler's story?).But what makes this such a "treat" are the recipes at the end of the book. I haven't tried them yet, but they sure look Carpathian-like (read: mouthwatering).

    25. *Audiobook review* I listened to this one and absolutely love the narrator. Everyone has come to the Carpathian mountains for a Christmas celebration and Ravsan the Dragonseeker Mage is messing with them! All the voices are easy to distinguish and the story is intriguing and moves quickly. Great listen!!

    26. Oh, this was just a fantastic book, because all their reactions to Gregori to be Santa Clause? So funny! And lots of things were developed in terms of the future, like babies, and new lifemate pairs, and yeah, I just loved it!

    27. This book could not have gotten any better it was amazing how all Carpathians came together for a celebration of the season and most importantly new life this was amazing and I would recommend it

    28. SPOILERS!!!!! I loved this book! It was so much fun to read and to check up on the couples I read about in the series so far. The story takes place not long after the major battle with Maxim and his accomplices. Raven wanted to throw a party to keep her mind busy from the oppressive worry of having her lifemate almost assassinated and the ever growing danger. She also believes that Carpathians need a reminder of what they are fighting for and I agree with her on that. Mikhail cannot deny her any [...]
