This is a good GM supplement that offers some explanations in terms of ecology and suggestions for campaign uses of some of the more unusual and frankly outright strange creatures from the fantasy roleplaying universe. So if you have ever been interested in things like mating habits of mimics, otyugh society, or why the freaking owlbears are always so damn angry this could be a fun quick read for you.     2. This book is a holdout on the old 3.5 stats, but with the Core book implemented, it is simple to convert. What is important, however, it the content. Paizo gives us a fresh look at some old foes we love to hate, some interesting variations and impressive artwork to admire. A great sourcebook.

    3. I really liked this book. Like the others in the same series, the creatures are well developed and have a lot of variants. It makes them a lot more than just random encounters. Some even become main villains in short adventures with this book. As usual, Paizo delivered great quality work here.
