    1. Mike McCrary has a rep for writing big, fat, dumb and fun action novels, except they're neither big, fat nor dumb and GENUINELY DANGEROUS is no different. Matter of fact, it's more ambitious than REMO WENT ROGUE or GETTING UGLY. It's also rougher and more disjointed but with McCrary, the swing is as important as the hit. If it's crazy, you're fine. The predominant theme of GENUINELY DANGEROUS is success, in this case the relaunch of Jasper Tripp's Hollywood career. Transcendent success and immort [...]

    2. Synopsis/blurbArt is about to imitate a life of crime.Jasper knows you don’t quit the movie business. The movie business quits you. He wants back in – Badly.Needs a comeback – Badly. And Jasper truly believes he can make a movie Hollywood will want – Badly.Genuinely Dangerous follows the nightmarish yet hilarious journey of Jasper Tripp, a down-and-out filmmaker who embeds himself in a crew of wild and mysterious criminals so he can film a documentary that’ll land him back in the Hollyw [...]

    3. Mike McCrary has created a cut-throat world of merciless lunatics that squash everyone in their paths, and I loved every second of it! This novel reads with the punch of a Hollywood action-thriller that was filmed with an unlimited budget. Each chapter reads as if it's an action sequence that holds a psychological twist to shock and amaze the reader. Catchy one liners pepper the prose. A twisted romance spins the narrative. Raw internal dialog draws the reader near while simultaneously repulsing [...]

    4. This is a fast - paced acid trip of a book! Reality film making meets "Natural Born Killers". The characters are way - out there- SICK (I received this through the Giveaway)

    5. Another good oneSome weird wild stuff, murder and mayhem, and a Remo appearance what more needs to be said. A good read.

    6. With this book, Mike McCrary takes the inside-Hollywood genre and gleefully feeds it into a wood chipper. When it starts, you might think of Terrill Lee Lankford's work, but things get very warped, very quickly. Another novel of McCrary's, "Remo Went Rogue", showed his flair with amped-up battle scenes. He has managed to raise the ante still further here without making it seem cartoonish. At one point -- the soon-to-be notorious "sheet scene" -- the main character says, "Can't describe how messe [...]

    7. Definitely outrageous. Certifiably insane. Action so fast you'll get whiplash. And that's just the easy stuff.Another reviewer here said "not for the squeamish"I underline that statement and mark it with a neon yellow highlighter. The story comes at you with the speed and strength of an inescapable mountain avalanche. The violence is similar to a Tarantino movie on speed.Although an enjoyable wild ride I found little empathy for Jasper. I've known people like him. That's the scary part.I was provide [...]

    8. I won this book in a Giveaway so first I just wanted to say thank you to Mike McCrary for sending out a signed copy I really appreciate it and always love checking out new books. This book was a wild ride and I loved every second of it, I had trouble putting it down at some points! I had a lot of WTF and laugh out loud moments while reading. It was fast paced and a very easy read. I will definitely be buying Mike's other books without a doubt as well as telling all my customers with similar tas [...]

    9. Don't hold your breath waiting for the action to pause -- you'll suffocate. Non-stop entertaining mayhem.

    10. It is quite amazing how much action, humor, violence, craziness, and excitement Mike McCrary can pack into one book. Well, he has done it again! I absolutely loved this book. Jasper Tripp is a screenwriter that needs to hit Hollywood with a great movie to make up for his last bomb. He comes up with this crazy idea that he would make an award-winning documentary by joining a gang of bank robbers and film their crimes. He turns to his brother, Alex, who happens to be a lawyer and asks him to put h [...]
