    1. This was an breathing novelization of the film. I was a huge fan of the story within the film, (watched it at a pretty young age), then some years later I saw it on a bookshelf. I absolutely adored the writing that was done. I loved this.

    2. Excellent movie tie in for the old sci fi film Species. I enjoyed the philosophical discussion about the motivations of the alien hybrid Sil. Remember she was half human DNA, and the question is raised as to whether her nasty side was the Alien DNA or the Human. It makes you stop and think for a second. Sometimes deep issues are found in trivial fiction.

    3. This book received a rating of 3.5.This novel was pretty decent. Very descriptive and entertaining. It's a new kind of book I've read this year. There aren't much character development though. There was plenty of adventure, action, and gruesome crime scenes. Worth the read. It was pretty easy to get through.

    4. Not sure if the movie was based on this book, or the other way around, but the writing was not great. A lot of the book was in the head of the alien, which was kind of bizarre (hearing about her needs to mate as a two-day-old creature, etc).

    5. Not really just a dry and humdrum of a novelization much like the movie. It's also just not all that incredibly well written either. I think the most prolific part as showing ability to write is when Fitch gets it.

    6. I liked it more than the movie, both because you got Sil's perspective so you know more of what she is thinking, feeling and what is happening around her, but also because you get a better feeling on the characters than the movie would ever be able to do.
