    1. 4.5 stars-It all started with a bank robbery, a dead jeweler, and a sniper. Sounds like a lot right ? No, not for Bobbie Faye that is a slow morning, easy breezy. I enjoy the heck out of her. This girl is like two tornados dancing during a hurricane. She get's shot at, hit, kidnapped *a lot*, accused of crimes, turned blue and she still get's up and kicks the butt that needs it. Can she handle weapons, heck yeah, she can throw a knife and shoot better then most. She has skills, stands by her fam [...]

    2. This books was simultaneously hilarious and thrilling. You can't predict what Bobbie Faye is going to get up to next, and I genuinely didn't figure out (and perhaps didn't care so much) about whodunit until the denouement. I was much more interested in what BF was going to do or say next. Having two hunky specimens of manhood doesn't hurt the plot either. While most of the plot was too insane to be believable, it was still very enjoyable. Best of all were those little bits of humor thrown in that [...]

    3. Loved the title with the parenthesis and the crawfish thingie on it, I don't know why they felt the need to change them later on. This one had me laughing out loud within the first 40 some pages. Some of the exploits were so ridiculous, but hilarious nonetheless. It kind of got a bit complicated at the end, lots of different players running around, but still enjoyable. Though I did like the first book the best out of the three.

    4. Another fun read that is pure entertainment. I forgot to mention the main things that bothered me in the previous book and it was amplified in this book. There are a lot of bad guys in this book. 3 different sets to be exact with more than a couple people in each group and sometimes it felt a little choppy when switching to another character's POV. I would be so engrossed in Bobby Faye and Trevor's adventures and then bam, next paragraph starts off with another character. And the character would [...]

    5. I enjoyed this book and all the characters in it. I have to admit I do think Bobby Faye, the main character, is a bit over the top but, maybe that is just what the author intended. It is a fun read - lots of people who keep popping out of the woodwork - and very good humor.

    6. Hilarious laughter from start to finish. The trouble that follows Bobbie Faye and Trevor around is so explosive.

    7. KINDA, SORTA, NOT EXACTLY - BOBBIE AND TREVOR SERIES #2 - GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE GUNSPraise for Bobbie Faye's Very (very, very, very) Bad Day“Causey doesn't miss a beat in this wonderful, wacky celebration of Southern eccentricity.”--Publisher’s Weekly, starred review“It's about time women had an to look up to… Bobbie Faye is a hurricane-force heroine who makes this novel the perfect adventure yarn.”-- The Tampa Tribune“If you like Janet Evanovich, if you're looking for a lot of un [...]

    8. Gird your loins, find a comfy chair and grab your favorite drink before you begin because this book will suck you in like a tornado once it gets going. Some fans of the first Bobby Faye adventure bemoaned the time Causey took to fill in the romantic back story on the Cam-BF storyline while others knocked the slightly slower pace created by fleshing out the competing characters working against the tour de force heroine, I felt like it was mostly time well spent giving me a breather between bouts [...]

    9. Bobbie Faye Sumrall really does have the worst luck. Too bad for her, lots of fun for us the reader. After the bad day she had in the first book, you'd really wonder what else could happen. But as we come to learn, bad days, which generally include gunfire, car chases, explosions and other mayhem, are a common occurrence for Bobbie Faye, and this book is no exception. This time, Bobbie Faye's bad day starts with a bad dream. Then, while at work, her cousin arrives to ask her help only to have a [...]

    10. I have to admit, I didn't really like the first book that much. It had so many things going on that I had to put it down every 20 mins or so to catch my breath and think about what just happened. I also dislike books with multiple POVs, so that was a bummer. Another thing I can't stand was calling her Bobbie Faye. You'd think that the people around her would shorten it SOMEHOW (points to Nina for calling her "B"), but nooooooo. It's Bobbie Faye this, Bobbie Faye that and her name alone added 10% [...]

    12. I really loved that Bobbie Faye Sumrall's second big adventure illustrated the differences in Creole and Cajun cultures. Her cousin Francesca's parents are one of each, almost like a mobbed up Montague & party girl Capulet turned diamond thief. Add in the twins & CeCe's voodoo gone awry, a couple of warring factions with kidnapping plans, several government law divisions determined to find the diamonds & save the day. What's that total? Bobbie Faye on a mission to save her family whi [...]

    13. Having a bad day? You think things are really going wrong for you. Then you need to read about Bobbie Faye. Everybody’s days are good days compared to Bobbie Faye’s.When Bobbie Faye’s cousin Francesca appears at Bobbie Faye’s place of employment demanding her help in finding diamonds Francesca’s mom had swiped from Francesca’s dad all hell breaks loose. Soon everybody is shooting at Bobbie Faye and her boss CeCe is busy casting spells to save Bobbie Faye.Bobbie’s FBI boy friend is [...]

    14. Bobbie Faye is back and it's new day. Unfortunately this day doesn't show any signs of being any less dangerous than the very, very, very, very bad day she just had. This time Bobbie needs to find her Aunt Marie's missing diamonds which are worth millions - each. And the catch is that there are at least three separate groups looking to get their hands on the diamonds, all willing to hurt members of Bobbie Faye's family if she doesn't deliver the diamonds directly to them. All the old cast member [...]

    15. Would have gotten all five stars except there was one too many groups of people gunning for BF and a plethora of individual characters swirling around *beyond* the aforementioned groups.I'm anxious about how Cam is going to live happily ever after because it seems clear that what Bobbie Faye and Trevor have is a cosmic connection. Trevor is PERFECT--everything that comes out of that guy's mouth is great--but Cam is such a great guy, too. I hope Causey writes pretty quickly, because there's clear [...]

    16. While I gave the last book 4 stars, this time it's 3. Why? For starters, the case was just A little too far-fetched for my taste. And while it still had its funny moments, it just wasn't as hilarious as the last one. Then - waaaay too many POV overall and coming way too quick. And last - well, this time we did get also a POV from Trevor. But not that many scenes - and, like I mentioned in my review of the first book, there we didn't have one. And here too it were by far not enough to sway me fro [...]

    17. I read this series in 2009. Re-read it again in 2014 - found the books and bought them in 2014, because the series was such a great one to read in 2009. It keeps you on the edge of your seat through each book. Suspense, action packed, some romance, investigative, Bobbie Faye in danger all the time and who will some the crime or puzzle . . . read the books and find out. I laugh almost through the whole book, just funny how the author writes the characters.======= Update 6-3-2016: If you are looki [...]

    18. Girls Just Wanna Have Gunsis like a "chicken soup" read for me--as is CHARMED AND DANGEROUS, the first book in this trilogy. When I need a good laugh and the chance to commiserate with someone who is having a day worse than mine, Bobbie Faye is my go-to character and Toni McGee Causey is my go-to writer. Between Trevor and Cam and their love for the hot mess that is Bobbie Faye (not to mention all that testosterone rivalry) and the predicaments in which Bobbie finds herself, these books are sati [...]

    19. You know when you're reading a book and you come across a really great line, it either speaks to you or is hilarious or whatever, and you want to share it with someone? So you post it on here, or on facebook, read it aloud to whoever is sitting next to you? With a Bobby Faye book? Pretty much every line is like that. Or at least, every second line. These books are just so much fun to read! The perfect escapist novel. Having a shitty day? This is sure to make you laugh. I'm sure the people around [...]

    20. This was a book I stumbled across at the library and, to be honest, I chose it because of the title. What an eye catching title!I realized once reading it that it was second in a series. I usually like reading a series at the first book, so perhaps that is why I felt a little distant when reading this. I couldn't fully connect with the characters. It was an enjoyable read, I especially loved the plot and how it kept kicking up a notch, but it wasn't one of those must-reads for me where I was esp [...]

    21. When the story line is a good one, you find yourself devouring the book which will lead you to a suspenseful conclusionually. Imagine reading a book whose suspenseful beginning just continues throughout the book! Before the first chapter, Bobbie Faye's been kidnapped three times (by different kidnappers) and driven around the block (same block) as they issue their ultimatums (different requests). A card carrying charter member of the AA Club (Abs Annonymous), Bobbie is again protected by her fav [...]

    22. Causey's second attempt with Bobbie Faye does not disappoint. However, I don't think it quite lives up to the first one. A little less time is spent on the action and running around (just a little, there's still a lot of action) and more time is spent developing the relationship she has with Trevor and Cam. There are also a ton of characters in this book, sometimes a little difficult to keep track of. And I didn't laugh out loud quite as much as the first one. With all that being said, I was sti [...]

    23. I like the Bobbie Faye series, even though it's got some drawbacks. I think Contraband Queen bit is a little overplayed, and the friend with the magic shop's storyline is usually something I skim over, but for the most part, these books are great. They're funny; they've got competing drool-worthy guys & wacky best friends with access to whips; and Bobbie Faye herself who can't seem to catch a break and wades into bad luck like it's the local swimming hole. Her adventures are fast paced and e [...]

    24. I was so excited to receive this as an early reviewer on Library Thing! I ran out and bought the 1st in the sequel, Bobbie Faye's Very (very, very, very) Bad Day: A Novel, only because I like to read books in sequence. I almost wished I hadn't in this case. The 1st book was so much fun, similar to the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. Bobbie Faye as a character is funny, smart, witty, love her. The second book was really hard to get into though. I think there were too many characters, it [...]

    25. I'm a big fan of the Bobby Faye books I've read. This is my second. Her adventures are gripping from the first sentence, and these books contain LOTS of laugh-out-loud moments. The characters are all delightful and unusual, colorful and engaging. Some of them are incredibly sexy, some of them are eye-rollingly annoying and some of them are endearingly stupid.I kind of didn't care about the plot, too much. I did want to see how it turned out, and I wasn't surprised at all about who the culprit was, [...]

    26. 4.5 starsI really liked this book. There was a lot of action and the 'snarkiness' was high. The second in the Bobbie Faye series doesn't let up from the first book. Bobie Faye, Trevor, Cam, CeCe, and the rest of the gang are on a search for blood diamonds worth billions. Crude notes from the thief suggests to everyone that Bobbie Faye knows where the loot is hidden. This makes for a helluva ride for our heroine, starting with *SPOILER ALERT* three -- count 'em three -- kidnappings in one morning [...]

    27. Ah ha! I finally read some adult fiction! Although I enjoyed this book, the language was pretty bad and that bothered me. I was also REALLY lost because apparently this is a sequel and I never read the first oneat's what happens when I go and pick out the brightest book covers under "New Fiction." However, I enjoyed the relationships between the main characters and if this author writes another one, I'll probably read that toobut I'm not going to bother reading the first book because I don't car [...]

    28. I borrowed the Large Print version of this book from the library and finally got a chance to read it while out at a friend's camp for the long weekend. Some of the formatting of the book drove me insane. For example: running away from the house, frantic. the guards shoved on most pages periods were placed in where a comma should be with the following new 'sentence' starting with a lowercase. This happens on almost every page of the book.Loved the storyline though and I'll definitely read more of [...]

    29. This book and this series are fantastic. I can not put them down. I blew through this book in a few days. It is so much fun. I like to read to take my mind off worries and work and slow down. This story was faced paced and entertaining which made me stay focused on what was going on in the book. The characters are great. I love Bobbie Faye and Trevor. Great duo. Former love interest Cam, sorry fella you blew it. Great book, in a different sort of romantic comedy sort of way. I'm starting on the [...]

    30. Fantastic, laugh out loud book. I love the Stephanie Plum books, but Bobby Faye gets into even more trouble. The difference is that Stephanie usually causes the trouble to begin with, with Bobby it just happens around her--catching her up in the tsunami of bad happenings. That doesn't mean that she doesn't go along with it, just that she didn't start it--but be sured she will end it. I'm definitely reading the other books in the series. One note though, for some odd reason each of the books has [...]
