    1. Melaina was a “dream therapist” working in a room at the back of her friend Serenity’s New Age Gift shop in Canberra. She was part human (from her Mum) and part Oneiroi (from her Dad) and had special gifts which enabled her to see inside people’s dreams; to adjust them and remove the causes of their nightmares, among other things. With not a lot of customers (they were sceptical to say the least) she struggled to pay the bills, but Serenity recommended her on many occasions which helped. [...]

    2. Lucid Dreaming is one of those books where I wasn’t one hundred percent sure about what rating I was to give it. It’s a three-point-five star read for me, meaning I needed to make the decision of whether I was rounding up or whether I was rounding down. In the end, I opted to round down. Whilst it was an enjoyable read, it wasn’t quite at the point where I was rounding my rating up.From the moment I read the synopsis, this book grabbed my attention. I was intrigued, wanting to know more. I [...]

Even though I knew that Cassandra Page lives in Canberra like I do, for some reason, I was totally taken by surprise over the fact that this book is also set here. Every time I recognised a location, I kind of stopped and squeed a bit. I’m sure people who live in New York or London a [...]

    4. Melaina's dad is an Oneiroi. Mom is human. She's a hybrid. Her birth was highly unusual because the Oneiroi aren't able to physically manifest. Her mom is in a facility because she is only able to be with Melaina's dad when she is asleep. So, she sleeps a lot. Which of course, is selfish because she has a kid. So, Melaina was raised by her uncle. Melaina has the ability to walk in other's dreams. In this way, she helps and provides a service. She helps an individual by removing a blight (a malic [...]

    5. The first thing that drew me to this book was actually the synopsis. It sounded exactly like something I wanted to read. I was thrown a bit by the cover, though. Definitely a beautiful cover, but it gave me the impression that the story would be a bit lighter… fluffier… The story actually had a fairly dark shadow cast over it, and I absolutely love it that way! It’s not a book for the youngest readers, with minimal swearing and a couple sex scenes. It’s not overly mature either, placing [...]

    6. ***I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review and the opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's. ***Lucid Dreaming by Cassandra Page is a story about a young woman who is able to cross over into people's dreams. Melaina is an interesting character to read about as she finds herself the target of an enemy that she cannot see and doesn't even know why. Leander, an Oneorio is trying to find her father but he needs her help to do so but since she knows nothing s [...]

    7. this is one of those seriously life changing books, Lucid living explains the 8 principles of transformation at the heart of spirituality, from personal experiences the author has allowed the reader to experience spiritual awakening to lucid dreaming and now lucid living. Its a life changing book and you have to read it purely to experience it yourself. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READ

    8. A Cassandra Page novel is like a warm mug of Milo: sweet, comforting and a treat. This one is Milo with a shot of chilli schapps; a supernatural romance with some "adult content". The book hits a bit of a tin note around chapter 31, and like most romances, the course of attraction seems a little unlikely (this is not a subgenre I read much for precisely that reason), but I enjoyed the novel and setting overall, and will look forward to the next.
