    1 thought on “Bare Facts”

    1. The first two or three pages were promising but got bogged down by excessive introspection on the heroine's part. I generally like getting into the character's head but in Charity's case, it interfered with what was happening between her and Daniel so that Bare Facts became a rather uneven read for me.The sense of real danger that surrounded Daniel never quite communicated itself to me, and I think it was a mistake for the author to allow her heroines to be tagged with the Charlie's Angels label [...]

    2. Charity Keone works for a security firm, Liberty Investigations. The firm is hired by Daniel Williams, a wealthy CEO of an importing company.Williams is being blackmailed by a man named Sekijima and recently had his home broken into and a member of his staff hospitalized. Two other girls work for Liberty Investigations. They get their orders from their boss by speaker phone and jokingly refer to themselves as "Charlie's Angels."Charity is a martial arts expert and a marksmanship shooter. As she i [...]

    3. Charity, Justine and Anna work for Liberty Investigations, a pseudo-Charlie's Angels type organization. All the women are gorgeous, and Sam (not Charlie) is the voice calling the shots over the speaker phone. When Charity is given the assignment of guarding Daniel Williams, the sparks really fly. It is lust at first sight, which Charity fights because Daniel's life is in danger and she won't be as diligent if they are involved. The danger is real (Japanese gang trying to kill Daniel) and the sex [...]

    4. This was my first book by this author. I enjoyed it but it felt a little too Charlie's Angels for me, right down to all the references. Don't get me wrong I liked the action and romance of the plot. I think for me though, the constant hiding of details from the main character and that action at the end was just too much for me. I felt like it went from dragging out the story with all the evading of information from the character to wham bam everything happens at once at the end.
