    1. I'm not sure how to review this book without gushing like a fangirl. The characters were fleshed out and felt so real, like I could sit down and have a chat with them. Jace was simply adorable, Alpha without being asshole. Now I'll freely admit, I love psycho men, it's a failing, I know. But wow, Jace was great. And Cassie, damn! I rarely feel like gushing over a female character. Usually they're just there, you know? Nope, not Cassie. She was smart, thought things through logically, accepted th [...]

    2. Since there's loads of reviews I'll skip my usual summary and get straight onto my thoughts and opinions. This started well and I was set up for a 'normal everyday' shifter romance but it became more, a lot more maybe too much really but then I'm not sure how long this this series will be but there's a lot of characters and information here to the extent where I felt it lost the romance. There's some interesting characters and if the series was on kindle unlimited I might consider continuing on bu [...]

    3. I really liked my little detour back to PNR. Think I'll stay here for a while :)Review to come Follow us on  KT Book ReviewsTwitterFacebookPinterest

    4. 3.5 rounded up. This was an AWESOME story, exciting, hot and yummy! Full of gorgeous werewolves and one awesome heroine. Sad thing is, it would've easily been a 4.5 had the editing been better. As an indie, I know the struggles of editing and I'll always ignore it if it's only here and there, but this was pretty pervasive thoroughout. It def says something though, that even with the editing issues I was totally hooked. I want Bennett's story, like yesterday! On to the next, very soon. :)

    5. 3.5 stars. Parts of this book I really liked and other parts not as much. Jace was a great H. He was kind, loving, and PATIENT!! At times I liked Cassie and others I just thought she was a condescending bitch. I get that she just found out there were shifters and vampires out there and that's tough to swallow. But her real reason for acting the way she did were her own hang ups. Jace explained his past to her and he was honestly a good and honorable man. She still always threw shit in his face. [...]

    6. Such a great read for the first book in a series! I am very interested in seeing what else the author has written. Great paranormal romance with hot spots!

    7. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book. I am voluntarily providing an honest review in which all opinions are fully my own. I am not being compensated in any way.~ Judi E. Easley for Blue Cat ReviewMy Review: ✰✰✰⭒I was sort of fascinated by the cover of this book every time I went past it in my Kindle app on my tablet. It uses that blue that always catches my eye and it has the most gorgeous male body covering the rest of the cover. What’s not to catch the eye! But it’s the [...]

    8. Really goodI’ve never read anything by this author and I was really impressed. Book is well written, definitely keeps your interest, and has characters you’ll fall in love with. If your looking for your next book boyfriend you’ll find him here! Lol if not Jace there’s a whole mix of alpha shifters to choose from. I’ll definitely be reading the next one!

    9. Free kindle read.It was actually better than I expected. There are definitely things borrowed from main stream UF/PNR series books. It was a quick and steamy read.

    10. Jace is a bartender and a werewolf (shifter). Cassie is a psychologist. After recently getting jilted by her fiancé, Grant, Cassie decides to get drunk at the Moonlight Bar. Jace has been watching Cassie on the nights she comes into the bar. Cassie is his mate but she doesn't know it. An evil woman known as Madame G wants a mating pair. Cassie and Jace will do just fine. Can they fight free of Madame G's machinations? Will love have a chance to grow between species?I found this novella rushed. [...]

    11. There was very little I liked about this book and the characters played a major factor in why I didn't enjoy it. Kaitlyn is terrible, the worst friend you could ever have. She's immature and irresponsible. She left with a guy for sex when her best friend had just been dumped by her would have been husband and was supposed to be her ride home. Some friend that is. When she got mixed up in a bad situation, Cassie dropped what she was doing and ran to help her. I was a little turned off at how fast [...]

    12. This is a new author for me and I picked it up as a freebie so thought why not.It was an ok start to a new series but there was a lot of things going on. Not always a bad thing but if not pulled off well then it lets the book down, it just seemed a bit short and rushed at times. It chopped and changed a fair amount so that you almost forgot who the romance was about!! The main characters seemed to get a little lost or forgotten.Jace was an ok H and Cassie at times was a tad annoying, her BFF Kai [...]

    13. What a first book! Really I can't believe this is Marie Johnston's first novel! The flow is well done and the pace is just perfect. The story of Jace and Cassie is full of intense longing, borderline erotica sex scenes, and tender passion that make this a truly memorable shifter romance novel. Cassie is a professional psychologist and very good at reading people, except she's unexpectedly dumped by her rather boring fiance and hooks up with hot bartender Jace without knowing that he is a wolf shi [...]

    14. This was better than a typical shifter romance. There wasn't too much sex. The main characters were genuinely interesting and reasonable. Emotional and complex issues were discussed. I did skim over a couple chapters written from the villain's point of view. I never enjoy reading that in any novel. I also felt the setup was too complex for me.Typos: "payback" used as a verb, 'you're' written for 'your,' some punctuation wrongly placed, 'move' accidentally written for 'moving.'

    15. Great Read! This story was a fun combination of paranormal and romance / light erotical. The plot included an engaging interplay between characters. Connecting a beautiful psychologist with a absolutely gorgeous shifter-wolf was such a good pairing. The characters were well developed and the plot interesting. I highly recommend this book!

    16. Exciting, interesting, a bit convoluted, but captivating in its breadth of directionThere's a whole lot going on in this book opening up the series with quite a few bangs. I enjoyed both of the MC's and am drawn to and interested in quite a few of the support characters. With a well-built cast this will be an exciting series.Jace is damaged goods but he's honest and determined and focused on justice and his mate. He's drawn to Cassie and knows what she is to him. With perseverance and patience h [...]

    17. 3.5 starsWould have been a five star, but some of the editing/typos grated. As well as the fact there was too much info in too short a book - I'd have loved if it had been longer, to allow both the plot and characters to develop more fully. (view spoiler)[Also, I wanted to smack Jace, the Guardians, ect for various reasons. The Guardians at first for putting Cassie in danger in the first place, dismissing her as being a potential target because 'she's a human'. Jace for his amazing ability to ju [...]

    18. I downloaded Fever Claim for free on based on the books description. We all know that when you get a freebie that we're taking a chance with our free time on the book. Well guess what? I was pleasantly surprised that it's a good paranormal book! It wasn't the best that I have ever read but it wasn't bad either. I liked it so much that I just purchased the 5 book boxset(granted that it was on sale for .99 but I still bought it). Fever Claim is the story of a psychologist named Cassie that goes t [...]

    19. Cassie Stockwell was dumped 2 weeks before her wedding and only has one intention - to drink alcohol and forget. When the gorgeous barman that she has secretly obsessed over the last few months offers her a lift home due to her safe driver leaving her she thinks that one night won't matter. However Jace Miller is a wolf-shifter and he knows she is his destined mate. Can the one night of passion between them be enough to persuade her to copy with a world she had no idea existed and is dangerous?T [...]

    20. Wolves and Vampires and Creatures, Oh MyI enjoyed this wolf shifter romance until I got to the part of the Sigma. Although well-written, the introduction of vampires and other "evil" creatures just wasn't my cup of tea. The story itself was an interesting read and set up the series enough to make you want to come back for more. It engaged me enough to be interested in what happens to the other characters you got to know here. If the whole paranormal experience is your reading choice, you will en [...]

    21. This is the story of Cassie and Jace. Jace knows that Cassie is his fated mate. The very first time he sees her he knows but she is engaged to someone. Over the next 10 months he patiently waits, then she comes in to his bar after her ex-fiance breaks off the engagement, 2 weeks before the wedding. Cassie has been in lust with Jace while she was engaged. They finally speak and end up back at her place and have hot sex. As the story unfolds we find out about a world of shifters and the evil Madam [...]

    22. Great BookJace is the quintessential alpha male! I loved the interaction between Jace and Cassie. I love the humorous quips as well. This book definitely needed to be longer! My only issue is that there was not too much action in their storyline and it was just building on the budding relationship. Cassie needed to "challenge" Jace more. I would classify their relationship as sweet. I think the author could have " ramped" the relationship up bit. All in all it was a good read and I would read an [...]

    23. this book was 1st in this series and I know that I will be back for more I need to find out what happens and why this crazy lady G is after our friends. That's right "our" friends. you really do feel like your part of the guardian group. The story will have you on the edge of your seat and biting your nails wondering what the next turn of the page will be! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good shifter plot and is not afraid of a little alpha male!

    24. DIFFERENT KIND OF SHIFTER STORY!Very creative writing and this novel is definitely worth the read. The only issue I had was some of the grammar, and the incorrect hyphenations were quite offputting for me, although it might not annoy anyone else. That being said, the story line and plot surprises were most interesting, and I quite like this author and look for more good things from her.

    25. Really goodI thought this was a very well done shifter romance. I usually have issues with the reveal, but I didn't here. Cassia was so well written as a character that I had no trouble believing her reactions to finding out there was more to the world than she had previously known. And Jace was a wonderful foil to her guarded nature.

    26. This is a five star book exceptExcept for the fricken formatting! If allowed cussing, I'd be all effs and dees right now. The story was fantastic! Characters, awesome! Formatting? SUCKY! And because it was sucky, it was confusing and hard to read. So just FYI, book great, formatting not.

    27. Cassie & JaceCassie Stockwell was dumped two weeks before her wedding. She is drowning her sorrows at Pale Moonlight, a bar she went to with Kaitlyn her bestie. Kaitlyn leaves and Cassie accepts a ride home with Jace, the bartender she has been eying. Plotting and characterization are interesting.
