    1. I feel kinda disappointed by this book because the title made me believe that it would be about Washington and Hamilton's friendship - their "alliance", but instead it's really just a dual biography. A well written, detailed, biography.

    2. A very informing, entertaining read. Though this book is primarily about the relationship between Washington and Alexander Hamilton, now of Broadway musical fame, it also by necessity covers a great deal of the events of the times: the Revolutionary War, Washington's two presidential stints, and the rivalry between Washington/Hamilton and Jefferson/Madison that defined so much of the flow of American politics in that era (and continues to have a lasting legacy to this day).As with any book focus [...]

    3. Just the facts. This book has a lot of good information but it's presented in such a dry manner, similar to reading a history text book. In all fairness, the author does a good job of setting the history books' records straight on a number of American myths. It's not until the final chapter, which is called the Postscript, that you get some real analysis of the interesting relationship between these two influential forefathers.

    4. An excellent account of the relationship between George Washington and Alexander Hamilton. Writing style was great and didn't bore you to death.

    5. Well-written and well-detailed book. However, I thought I would learn more about the Alliance of these two men. Maybe you will feel differently. Enjoy!

    6. Interesting read, and a bit scary to think that one could swap the names of the Founding Fathers with some contemporary names and it would make just as much sense.

    7. A definite must read for the Hamilton or Washington fan. Not a lot of new information if you have read about either man already but we do get to see how their political carriers circled one another and how they worked together to shape early America. It's a pretty quick read and a lot less daunting to get through than say Chernow's biographies.

    8. "Washington and Hamilton" provides insight into the early life of both Founding fathers, their friendship and the reason for their later estrangement. Since I was most interested in their earlier lives, I found the first part of the book the best.I will be using this book as a reference.
