    1. the second essay in this book that is analysis of an Iranian film, the Suitors, 1988, has major problems in terms of generalizing Persian culture. i figured that out after i watched the movie, which is of very low quality (of course from 80s). it has a simplified and exaggerated look at the Iranian post revolutionary culture. the second essay however is worth reading if you are interested in iconic cinema/art
