    1. My kid loves this book. He thinks it's hilarious. We'll be looking for more Bad Kitty books at the library.

    2. By the numbers Bad Kitty goodness. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but who asked them to? It's just as zany and charming as the other picture books in the series. I did chuckle when it's revealed that everything Kitty is afraid of turns out to be just kids in costumeof course we see this once Kitty is raining mayhem on their little heads.

    3. A Bad Kitty Picture book! Hooray! Totally creative and inventive use of the alphabet. Any child is sure to enjoy learning that scary things aren't always as scary as they appear. Bad Kitty unmasks all the frightening alphabet creatures for what they are just friends and neighbors, and maybe even the vet! Don't eat too much candy Bad Kitty or you may have to have another vet visit. :-)

    4. This is a Bad Kitty at Halloween-time book. And it is very, very good. Bruel uses a Halloween theme and goes through the alphabet four times! He adds alliteration, too. This is my favorite Bad Kitty book far.

    5. Another enjoyable alphabet book by Nick Bruel. It's pretty much the same format of the original, but in a fun, new setting (Halloween). Fun use of the alphabet, and same bad kitty that will make kids giggle.

    6. Hilarious! I loved the various ABCs: being a kitty, kinds of Halloween candy, and Halloween costumes. Great!

    7. I liked the alliteration of the book and that the letters were highlighted on on the pages. I think I liked that better than the story itself.

    8. Bad Kitty does lots of abc's, and not traditional stale ones either. (Although not sure about "gnaw" for "g", just not good for kids.)

    9. Although it isn't a requirement that you spend part of your days with a cat to enjoy the Bad Kitty picture books, it certainly does help since her antics are sure to remind you of your own feline's foibles and odd behaviors. In this book, the author uses four different trips through the alphabet to describe how Bad Kitty once was so much more than a scaredy-cat. What freaked her out was the arrival of various trick-or-treaters, dressed in various types of costumes. All this scary stuff sent Kitt [...]

    10. Who knew Bad Kitty could be a scaredy-cat? This alphabetical romp first extols Kitty’s twenty-six impressive and aggressive qualities. But when the doorbell rings on Halloween night, Kitty is confronted with an intimidating, alphabetical assortment of trick-or-treaters: Killer Kraken, Loathsome Lion, Vile Vampire, Wicked Werewolf, to name a few. Although they sufficiently scare Kitty, Kitty’s fear is overcome when she sees their alphabetical list of goodies and treats. To claim their booty f [...]

    11. Didn't think I ever say this about a book, but there is excessive use of the alphabet in this book! The idea is very cute, but I feel like a child listening would be bored about this story re: to that. A young reader may enjoy it, but there are many difficult words re: to the alphabet portion.I enjoyed the text in between the "A" and the illustrations for great.

    12. I am always a fan of Bad Kitty, except when he is picking on Poor Puppy. But now that it is Halloween there are plenty of things for Kitty to be scared of, until she remembers, she’s not scared, she’s BAD. Fun, but longer than most Bad Kitty picture books. They run through the alphabet three different times.

    13. This was more of a picture book abc book than a storybook although the words in it are for bigger readers. It's a fun book. The cat is scared of each 'monster that comes to the door' and they list them from A to z then the cat become crazy and attacks each monster showing they are kids dressed up. This is a creative book by the author.

    14. Bad Kitty books are always entertaining and educational, but this one is exceptionally brilliant. All kids should get to learn their alphabet with the help of these great Halloween themed illustrations.

    15. A little long so one on one or preschool. Loved the Abc reinforcement throughout the book. Bad kitty is scared and three times in the book the alphabet is used to further the story with little saying that go through each of the letters. Will bad kitty ever not be scared?

    16. Laugh out loud Halloween fun!! Nick Bruel, author and illustrator, shows Kitty's transformation into a scared kitty, to a full kitty and to a bad kitty using the alphabet.#mustread for #Halloween #concept #ABCs A Neal Porter Book published by Roaring Brook Press.

    17. My 6yo was so excited for a Bad Kitty Halloween book. When we ordered it, we didn't realize it was more of a picture book, so he was expecting a chapter book. The book is cute, but a much younger reader level then we were expecting, and not as fun as the other books in the series.

    18. I love Nick Bruel books. This is a new one, copyright 2016. It's so cute, I am going to buy it for my grandsons.

    19. More Bad Kitty - this time with a Halloween costume ABC that frightens Bad Kitty, until Kitty realizes the trick-or-treaters can be scared into leaving their food.

    20. Not my favorite Bad Kitty book but still great fun. A good addition to the Halloween holiday collection. Best read by kids who are familiar with the other Bad Kitty alphabet books.
