    1. I have always liked this story. My parents had a copy of this book as I was growing up. My husbands parents had one also. When my husband and I married in 1971 his mom gave us the few books she had purchased for her boys over the years. She said they bought this one in 1953 or 1954 at camp-meeting. Our boys loved this story as they were growing up. In the back of the book we had written dates when read and to whom or who read the book. It was not always written there. Our oldest son read it in 1 [...]
