    1. I’ve followed Jen Rasmussen’s blog for some time, always enjoying her intelligent, witty posts, and her dry sense of humor, though I’ve never met her personally. When she wrote her first novel, Ghost in the Canteen, I couldn’t wait to read it. I was sure I would enjoy it, and I was right. If you haven’t checked it out, you should. It’s the first book in this series, and it’s a humdinger, with a premise completely new to me. (Clue: It involves a drink called switchel, which was a wo [...]

    2. Lydia Trinket is a ghost hunter. She goes where the ghosts are and tries to convince the ghost to crossover thru reasonable discussion, but when that doesn’t work she will banish them to her canteen. Now a paranormal creature, Phineas has arrived at her house and destroys the canteen. He explains he created the container so he was the only one who could destroy it. But, he didn’t give Lydia time to repatriate the banished ghosts elsewhere, so now she is going thru her client list to find thos [...]

    3. I'm hooked.Lydia is human. She's crass, forgetful, and a little self centered yet entirely relatable. I find myself laughing out loud, crying, and turning pages so quick that I forget I have a life of my own that needs attention. I absolutely love this series.

    4. The second in Jen Rasmussen's Lydia Trinkett trilogy. It's got a collection of great characters, fully realized, and a gripping plot. If you like your horror novels with a dash of humor and with a well-written and compelling plot, get this series and enjoy yourself!

    5. Loved itAnother great book. Love the way she writes . Like she is just sitting across from you telling you what happened. Makes you feel as though the character really is telling the story. Great style and story!!!
