    1. I read my fair share of Highland romances, but so far didn't encounter a modern day Highland romance. Though this book opens up in the 1700's Scotland and we get to see the young Cameron heading off to the ill-fated battle of Culloden. He leaves his beloved Enind behind. Enid has a gift of seer and she knows he will not be returning. The book continues on in today's world, with Elizabeth travelling from USA to Scotland to seek out her ancestors and there she meets the irresistible Gavin. What I [...]

    2. This was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me. I was drawn in from the start with the stories setting (I love me a good highland romance). Can I just say, this author gets top points for authenticity. At times I was amazed by the small details she had inserted. There were a few places where the pace slowed for me, but I was happy to continue reading on with the engaging dialogue and steamy romance.

    3. Not my normal type of book. I was given this book for an honest review. I am very glad to have read this. It was a wonderful story with fully developed characters and an intriguing story line. A breathtaking view of Scotland and its history.

    4. Wow can I say that there is a lot going on in this book- paranormal, historical, and time travel through memories. I feel bad when we know from Enid that Cameron will not be returning cause she is a seer. Gavin and Elizabeth make a good couple as they are "helped" along by the ghost of Cameron who is tied to his bagpipes. Problem is they both are from different parts of the world. They not only have to deal with making their love work but trying to save Cameron. His soul has been trapped and he [...]

    5. UNEXPECTEDThis was not what I was expecting at all. Reading the information first I thought it was going to be total fantasy and so when it jumped from the past into the modern day I was pleasantly pleased and surprised. I learned a lot about the battle fought at Culloden, and being partly of Scottish ancestry myself and having lived there for a couple of years as well, it held a particular fascination. The story was good, there were a few formatting errors and I felt the last third of the book [...]

    6. A love story just be on the agesThis was a fabulous love story. With one of the things I find lacking in paranormal romances often, a ghostly matchmaker. Gavin is a modern-day bank employee who also happens to play the pipes . The bagpipes given to him on his 18th birthday . They were a family heirloom and would become part of the clues to solve the mystery of who Gavin was as well as Elizabeth (Enid). Who loved one another centuries ago and we're parted by war. Wondering is this is the first of [...]

    7. This is a beautifully told story of love transcending over time and through generations. This story begins with the tale of the love between Enid and Cameron and fast forwards into present time to continue the tale of love with their descendents Gavin and Elizabeth. This is two love stories in one and has sexy Scottish men. What more could a lover of romance ask for? This story will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next and is a great read.

    8. Loved this!A sweet tale with just enough steam! I loved Elizabeth and Gavin, their parents and especially Cameron. I thought it was a tad slow to start but quickly picked up.A beautiful story of history, family and love, this was well told with rich characters and fascinating historical scenery.

    9. I really enjoyed this book. It was very well written and engaging. Scottish men, bagpipes and past and present meet, What more can you want in a romance? This book is definitely worth the time to read. This book is truly a winner

    10. The piper's lament.A breathtaking story. The writing was amazing you could hear the Scottish drall in your head as you read the lines. A love story spanning generations and centuries, that is true love. Highly recommended to readers or romance and historic romance. It truly is worth a read

    11. Absolutely loved it!What a riveting story! I loved it and finished it in one day. I had to know how it ended. Beautiful storytelling. The Piper's Lament is one of my favorite stories.
