    1. Before I reached the midpoint of this book, which was offered to me free for reviewing, I concluded that anyone who read and enjoyed J.K. Rowling's The Casual Vacancy (as I did), most likely will enjoy this one as well. Both focus on in-depth development of each and every character, warts and all, and, ultimately, showing how they're all connected. As in that book, all the characters in this one have "issues" - some more than others. Some are totally unlikable and others are tolerable, but there [...]

    2. Review: The Accidental Art Thief Originally posted @ **ReadingDiva's Blog** When I was given the opportunity to review The Accidental Art Thief I didn’t think twice, I jumped head first. The premise of the story told me that I would enjoy it, thought I expected a fast paced all out action, what I encountered was a compelling story of regrets, solace,  humor, acceptance and human connection.I was very pleased with this story. While I expected something completely different I can honestly say [...]

    3. This book chronicles the life of an unassuming woman who really has very little experience living. After her fiance broke off with her she took a job with an elderly man at his estate where she remained for 25 years until the gentleman died. She was forced to live with her older brother who had his own issues when the elderly man's daughter literally gave her and her 2 dogs 2 weeks to vacate the premises. She ends up taking a painting which the daughter does not know about. Overnight she has to [...]

    4. Set in New Mexico, this is the story of 45-year old Kathryn (aka Zinc), a deeply sensitive yet socially awkward woman who’s lived all of her existence without making her own decisions, and whose life suddenly forces her to take charge, face her fears, and grow as a human being. For the past 25 years Zinc has cared for an old art collector and lived in a casita under the protection of his estate. She writes poetry and her only possessions are her two dogs. Life is monotone and safe for Zinc, who [...]

    5. What a great book! Fell in love with the main character, Zinc, within the first chapter. There are some quirky, almost unlovable characters you'll meet along the way, but they all suffer from varying degrees of hurt and rejection. Zinc takes a piece of art after the man for whom she has been caring dies unexpectantly. What happens after will intertwine the lives of a number of people who are all linked in someway through Zinc. That one act, done without malice, will actually bring healing to man [...]

    6. This is my first foray into the magical realism genre and I really enjoyed it. The host of characters in this book is what really kept me coming back for more, and the writing was fantastic. There were quite a few twists that I really enjoyed. I will be reading this book again.
