    1. Reverend Henry Youngblood believes he’s being called to Buffalo Creek to plant a church. With little money and a strong dose of hope, he obtains a small slice of property and begins to build the church himself. Henry doesn’t give up. His offer to help an unassuming gentleman secures the loan needed to continue. Materials and equipment are bought at salvage yards and the air conditioning and heating system is amazingly put together without instructions.Unfortunately, all is not well with the [...]

    2. AwesomeI really got into this book and couldn't put it down. Loved it! A nice Christian book!!!! I love reading books where the characters are believing God for a miracle!!

    3. Reverend Henry Youngblood has a vision for Buffalo Creek…a church. He squeezes what he can out of money earned as an insurance salesman and works hard to turn his dream into reality—much to the frustration of his pregnant wife and the local city inspector. While he and his wife debate the priorities of life and family, his daughters search to fulfill their own dreams. One looks for acceptance, and the other fights the never-ending battle for higher education. When all else fails and their ho [...]

    4. Baxter Road Miracle took me back to my high school years in the 1960's. The author got the details so perfectly. The contrast between the two sisters described many a preacher's families. The story is not complex, but is totally enjoyable.

    5. Good ReadBaxter Road Miracle is one of those nice light reading books that makes you feel good reading. Its the kind of book you read when you need to read about happiness and don't feel like getting into something heavy. Sometimes in life we need to escape the bad and sad thing happening in our world and be reminded of the behind the scenes miracles that our God is responsible for. I would call it a "feel good" book and would definitely recommend it.

    6. This story drew me right in to my own childhood. You get to see the perspective from not only the father, but also from the girl's point of view, too. I especially enjoyed how the author took seemingly unhelpful events and transformed them into God's over-the-top blessings, which is so much like real life if we only allow ourselves to see them. The ending put everything together, reminding us how our "good works," are never useless. Very charming tale, that kept me reading to the end.

    7. A delightful and inspiring story, a fun read that touches the heart. I fell in love with the characters, rooted for their success, and was thrilled with the miracle.

    8. Loved Carlene Havel's writing style and enjoyed the uplifting ending of this book. I will be anxious to read more of Ms. Havel's words.
