    1. I loved this series! My heart was filled with happiness after reading it. So satisfying, so well written and all ends as it should.

    2. I have been eagerly anticipating the conclusion of The Follower of the Word trilogy since I finished the second installment, Son of Truth, the day after its release. So when the author offered an advanced copy to readers in exchange for a review, I jumped at the chance.I decided to begin by re-reading the first two books of the series to remind myself of places and characters. This also gave me a chance to marvel at the evolution of Morgan L. Busse's writing. Daughter of Light was great with sol [...]

    3. Since the beginning of the series the theme has been “In the darkness there is light.” While this was a highly entertaining book, I think the writer, Morgan L. Busse, really brought this theme to completion in Heir of Hope. The series is character driven; the characters really are the plot (but yes, there are high stakes and epic battles). In the previous books it was the story of Rowen discovering what she was, then making a choice of who she would become. For Caleb it was a story of his tra [...]

    5. Like the two preceding books, Morgan L. Busse delivers a beautifully-written Christian high fantasy for adults that delves into difficult subject matter without glorifying negative content or graphic excess.“I wander through shadows and light. And death haunts my every step. I cannot see the way out of the darkness, so guide me, living Word, Speaker of Truth.”-Captain LoreI was truly impressed with how intense this book was. Each of the characters faces difficult choices, and overcomes them [...]

    6. The final book in the Follower of the Word series did not disappoint. Morgan created some deep main characters that had many obstacles to overcome throughout the trilogy, and it doesn't get any better for them in Heir of Hope. Rowen Mar has been captured and taken to the Shadonae, her mortal enemies. Caleb Tala, the assassin with a change of heart, is forced to work with Captain Lore to escape the Great Desert. Since Caleb had killed Lore's former charge, it isn't an easy alliance. And they have [...]

    7. Heir of Hope fulfills all our hopes for this book and even more. It is a story of love, courage, forgiveness, and human frailty. It takes christian fantasy to a whole new level. My friends began reading the series when they heard that it put a tear in my eye. Which never happens. They were not disappointed and were quickly hooked. The characters are believable. In the end we have a group of characters working together for the greater good despite their vast differences, past, and preconceived id [...]

    8. The crowning finale to an epic series! Heir of Hope, brings back all the wonderful elements found in Book 1 and 2; well written, captivating, compelling characters, and doses of truth and faith woven in so organically that it is seamless. This novel starts off, right where Book 2 ended, and once you open up the pages you are swept into the story. I was on the edge of my seat through most of the novel and anxious to see what was ahead for these characters. And while this is a novel about good vs [...]

    9. Bravo and encore!I laughed. I cried. I smiled throughout the day thinking about the characters portrayed throughout this series. I couldn't put it down. Seriously, I could not put it down. The ending left me feeling a bit sad, however. A fourth book extending and expounding upon the quick end would have mirrored the intricate detail leading up to it. Alas, I thoroughly enjoyed the spiritual leads and powerful testimony displayed throughout each book. It is a must read for all genres.

    11. The first fantasy book I have ever read was "Daughter of Light", the first in the "Follower of the Word" series. I really didn't know what to expect. Would I be able to keep track of the strange names? Would I be able to understand the culture? But in Morgan's books, everything is easily understood. You just need to let your mind be ok with a lot of things that are out of the norm for us. When "Son of Truth" came out, I reread "Daughter of Light". Likewise, when "Heir of Hope" came out, I reread [...]

    12. What a very beautiful and satisfying ending to this series!I was once again amazed by Rowen’s faith in the Word. She has never strayed from Him and in HEIR OF HOPE her faith was definitely tested. Her faith was so inspiring because even in the mist of evil and wanting to save herself, she didn’t leave the path that the Word asked of her. What Rowen did for the people of Thyra was absolutely beautiful. That kind of selfless love created tears running down my face.It was also amazing to see ho [...]

    13. Daughter of Light, Son of Truth, and Heir of Hope are books that lead the reader down a winding journey to glory. There are hardships. There are loss and pain. There is forgiveness. There is rebirth.More importantly: there's hope.No corners were cut in the novels. It's truth and adventure bound together in a whirlwind saga. The journeys of Rowen, Caleb, Nierne, and Lore were complete with the ebb and flow of faith that we all find ourselves experiencing.Even though I wished for more of Caleb's story [...]

    14. An epic finishI purposely waited until I had money to start his series. :) This trilogy is told in truly epic style. The author masterfully wove together all the details and characters to finally come together in a battle for the world. Will the last two Elderans defeat the last two Shadonaes?I greatly enjoyed the realistic thoughts and feelings of the main and supporting characters. The hand of The Word was evident just as was the impact of personal choices. If you want an epic take with a stro [...]

    15. Wow, This book is just - Incredible, to put it mildly. This book was my favorite book of 2015 by quite a large margin, and I read a lot of books.I can't even really put into words my feelings at the end of this book. Hopeful, powerful, thought-proving, beautiful.I'd give this book ten stars if I could. The plot is fast and absolutely riveting, the characters complex and well rounded, their struggles were so real I found myself glued to the pages until the end, which, by the way, was absolutely pe [...]

    16. Wow.I cried; I laughed; I held my breath; I glared when I was interrupted; and I moped when it was over. This was an epic and lovely ending to a wonderful series. Morgan L. Busse created a masterpiece for the conclusion of this trilogy. It has been several days since I have finished the book and I still feel the reverberating effects of the finale. I won't spoil anything by giving away the highlights of this tale but know that Morgan L. Busse does not disappoint. This book deeply touched me in a [...]

    17. I enjoyed Daughter of Light. I liked Son of Truth. I couldn't stop reading Heir of Hope. Hands down, it's the best of the three and is a truly epic conclusion to this wonderful, challenging series. This trilogy is a beautiful story of love and grace and relationships and how God can work through even the least of His servants. And it's a stirring reminder of how God can use us even when we're broken, even when we've failed, and that even when we feel alone and like giving up, He's right there be [...]

    18. This series is wonderful. The story is a masterpiece. I should give this book 5 Stars but, I love Rowen and I was expecting a happier end for her.I am in love with Nierne and Caleb. I would like to know more about them. I felt a little disappointed! I am sorry Morgan. I love you!The end was good but, I was expecting more a longer and happier end. After so many hours reading this series I was dreaming with a wonderful conclusion, longer, with more details about my beloved characters.

    19. Amazing series that completely draws you in. I just finished reading all three books of the series. Each of them were amazing and live changing for me. They made me search my heart and evaluate my walk with the Lord. Do I really live my life for Him? Am I trusting Him and allowing Him to use me in whatever circumstances I find myself in? I loved the individual characters and the relationships that developede forgiveness given. I was almost sad when I finished the last book.

    20. Book 3 of this series picks up where book 2 left off. Once again the same main characters are followed through the book, and the reader gains insight into the motivations behind their actions. While this one was another good installment in the series, again I felt that there were some moments when the story would drag. The story was once again well told, so I would definitely recommend it to those who have read the rest of the series. It is a good conclusion to the series.

    21. An excellent conclusion to this fantasy series! My favorite aspects of this series are the nicely developed world and the unique powers of the Eldarans and Shadonae. This series contains violence (battles, wars, evil fantasy-beings), magic (related to this unique fantasy world), adult themes but clean romance, no foul language, and some solid moral and spiritual themes. Recommended for lovers of Christian fantasy/romance, probably mid-teens and up.

    22. 4.5/5.0“Heir of Hope” is an involving fantasy novel which has a Christian message intrinsic to the story without being preachy and too overtly Christian for nonbelievers.Read full review in the 2015 July/August issue of InD'tale Magazine.

    23. I have enjoyed the entire series. I think Heir of Hope may be my favorite. Each story line was neatly wrapped up with plenty of excitement along the way and a bit of romance.I loved the way Morgan ended the series. Great finale!

    24. WonderfulThis is a wonderful book! I was on the edge of my seat every step of the way. The way the story wove together is truly compelling.

    25. Rowen Mar is the last Truthsayer and she faces the most challenging ordeal of her young life. Brought to the fallen city of Thyra by an ethereal agent of the Shadonae, Rowen finally comes face to face with the eternal enemies of humankind. Appearances are deceiving as the Shadonae human form is nothing really frightening; yet behind their human faces is the darkness of evil that wants to suck out of Rowen all her power. It will be done one way or another. Then there is Calab Tala; assassin, princ [...]

    26. The brilliant Follower of the Word trilogy by Morgan Busse concludes with Heir of Hope. The story starts slightly before the end of the previous book, with the meeting of Lore with Nierne and Caleb, and then follows three separate lines. These are the points of view of the villainous Shadonae, Valin and Malchus, the hardships of Rowen, and the journeys of Lore, Caleb, and Nierne. The last three are making their way to the ruined city of Thyra to save Rowen and fight the Shadonae.Busse set a hard [...]

    27. Great final bookI only wish there was more! Really enjoyed the series and it will be one I will reread! Love the little wrap up and the end although it would have been nice to hear from Caleb too.
