    1. I can't say that I read a lot of dystopian books, but this was something new for me. A different side to it, the human side, the after-effect of World War Three and what it's done to people. It's usually all about action, some rebels trying to overthrow a new order; some suffering teenagers trying to survive. Here, nobody cares anymore. They're just waiting for the end. Two more wars, two more nights, two more people to die before it's over. It's all there is. This, and people stripped of morals [...]

    2. The Last Night on Earth by Victor A. DavisThe Last Night on Earth delivers us an unique perception of World War III through the eyes of two characters, David Faulkner and Kara. This dystopian short story draws you into a completely transformed New York City and doesn't miss the opportunity to suffocate you and leave you hopeless as you reach the ending. Having the rich live high in skyscrapers and the dope dealers low on the ground, this novel clearly depicts an universe more dark and sorrowful [...]

    3. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.(Spoilers within)This is very short, only about 17 pages. It takes place during a future war, switching its point of view between a few citizens. David, the husband, Kara, the wife, and Simon, an actor. We're given hints about what their lives are like in this dreary future where over a billion have been killed.David and Kara's marriage isn't going well. He wakes up to find she's gone, and the first thing he does is check for a [...]

    4. 5/5 stars -- Reviewed By Anne-Marie Reynolds for Readers’ FavoriteThe Last Night on Earth by Victor Davis is a dystopian short story. David and Kara live in New York City, but not the New York City that you and I know. This is a city set in the future, a city that is barely standing while World War III rages about them. Neither has any hope for the future, yet neither is prepared to give up. They live in a world that is about to end, a world where no one cares anymore, and where there is no ri [...]

    5. Fantastically written, this was an interesting read. It sucked me in right from the start dropping me into a futuristic war fueled by the devolution of the US into regional sovereign states. It centers around the unhappy marriage of David and Kara, both of whom have different ways of dealing with the death and destruction. In a very short time the reader is brought up to speed on the personal histories of the characters and on the state of a world in which death is so commonplace that auto gener [...]

    6. The Last Night on Earth is a great short story that seemed a little like a flash story to me. this story gives a fresh face to short dystopian stories. With new ideas and perfect writing made this story so much better. I especially thought that the little things in this story made it so much better.

    7. This was a short dystopian story. It was different for me and I enjoyed it. I think the writing was good and it seemed to have some new ideas that were interesting to me. The story kept me interest. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
