    1. This was another of the books that I bought in The Strand in NYC last December, and it was unfortunately the most disappointing. Set in the city in 1980, it tried too hard to situate itself with cultural references, and its characters were either underdeveloped or total clich├ęs.

    2. Was hanging out at my local watering hole, Kettle of Fish, one night and ended up chatting w/ the guy who published this book (his kid bartends there). 3. I received a copy of the book from a giveaway. The story and plot was good, however, I didn't particularly like Vetere's writing style. It wasn't my normal type of book that I would enjoy even though I love a good thriller. I didn't like Danny or Lou or Charlie so basically none of the main characters.
