    1. A very enjoyable literary fiction by an author who is good at pulling the reader into the lives of the characters. This story is set in the middle 1700's in Paris, France. Sophie is a socialite who has been educating herself on what is happening in Paris and France. She has been writing pamphlets under a false name and feels she needs to educate people just as she educates herself about the injustices. But her pamphlets are making people think she is a revolutionary and is going against the mona [...]

    2. I've read three of the author's books & one thing I noticed so far was that the heroes were having more (and better, perhaps?) sex with their mistresses. I found it disturbing. In this book, it was not until nearly the end that the hero & heroin slept together. I felt the hero had more connection with his mistress Juliette because throughout the book he kept going back to her for sex & to confide with her even when he was married to the heroin. I also didn't feel like he resolved his [...]

    3. My reading experience with this book was just ok. It ended kind of abruptly to me. The situation with the inspector was left rather open-ended in my opinion and I didn't like that. Side stories and alternately viewpoints are fine but I don't think Sebastian's mistresses, the duke, the father, the grandmother, Madame something or the other needed to have a viewpoint on anything. I marvelled several instances at the naivete that Sophie possessed in thinking no consequences would come of her action [...]

    4. Fabulous This author has amazing details and keeps your attention throughout the entire book. It is romantic, funny and thrilling. I laughed so hard during reading certain parts my eyes were watering.

    5. I finished it, but because I made myself soldier through. I found that there were too many sex scenes for my liking and that the language used in them was far from respectful of women for a book that was supposed to espouse women's rights and looking at them as more than just brood mares. There were parts that I enjoyed, but overall there was too much of trying to be a good writer, instead of just being a good writer. Why did what they were wearing at any given moment really matter? (It doesn't). [...]

    6. Eh so soI found myself skipping pages. There is so much about the clothing or the scenery that it distracts from the story. Also the bedroom scenes are written more in the modern way then Victorian. Not a great written story.

    7. Excellent story!Author does an amazingJob of weaving the characters livesTogether in a very intriguing way. Really enjoyed this book!

    8. Perfect light reading for all adults. Most exquisite story, I am looking forward to any books in the series ?.Similar stories by other authors will be investigated.

    9. Good readGood storyline, held my interest. Great plot and we'll developed characters. I was able to put it down and pick up up without losing the plot

    10. Combination of erotica, romance and mystery. This book is not very well written. There were many instances of repitition as though the author needed to fill space. I did like the characters.

    11. ExcellentWhat a great read, , the characters are so vivid you are pulled into the past . I enjoyed every page.

    12. Good reading.I liked the story, and how it developed. It's really a fantasy, because a young lady in that time would never be accepted to be so independent.Sebastian and Sofia are a great match like his parents, but I enjoyed the parents' story better. Well, she really put herself in a bind, and the so independent woman desapears and in her place comes a very fragile and dependent one. This is what I didnt like.In summary, very nice entertaining story, and worth reading.

    13. Historical romance set just before the French Revolution in Paris with English aristocrats and well born rich Parisians. We get a secretary living the high life when he meets a young French lady who will change is life as he tries to save hers.Mysterious Sebastian Fairfax has a great position as secretary to the British Ambassador in France, he is also hot sexy and very educated, but never talks about his past until his past shows up in the form of his sister and his parents when he can no longe [...]

    14. GreatThis is a truly good book! I've enjoyed reading Italia's books of late without disappointment. The writing is very good and I didn't want to put the book down.Much of the the plot is based on a woman in France just at the cusp of the revolution. This young woman writes pamphlets about the injustices and unequal treatment of woman which were considered subversive and traitorous opinions to espouse. The fact that the hero is the half English-half Arabic sin to a sheik makes for an interesting [...]

    15. TSTL HeroineThis otherwise engaging story suffers from a foolish, TSTL heroine, an insatiable hero, too much tell, and not enough show. There are minor grammatical errors, but not sufficient to make me want to throw my Kindle against the wall. The sitting of the story in France just prior to the Revolution makes for a refreshing change of pace. An educated heroine forced he period is also welcome, but she's a hypocritical idiot for all her learning. In the beginning of the book, Sebastian comes [...]

    16. After reading a few chapters (I lasted 'til Chapter 8) I felt dirty. There is nothing here but a pattern of sex and licentiousness. Pure TRASH.

    17. I received The Sheik's Son as part of a giveaway. I finished it the same day I got the package! Sebastian's and Sophie's story was captivating and I was hooked from page 1. Although I believe it did go into too much depth about the physical relationship between his sister and his friend, it would be nice if they have their own book. I was intrigued about their past. I would definitely read another one of Nicola Italia's books.

    18. Wonderfully written!!This book was impossible to put down! This is a brilliant historical romance. I was impressed with all of the details found within the storyline. The author wove accurate historical facts into this story, along with wonderfully colorful descriptions of the settings and the beautiful attire of the period. This was a pleasant surprise! Enjoy!!

    19. A truly beautiful romance. It gives you a true in site into the the life married to a sheik. You really feel for the heroin, what she is going through. A very gripping story, a book you can't put down and want to read over and over again

    20. Outstanding/Loved ItWonderfully written story and a great spin off of the first book. I loved the characters and enjoyed their development. A interesting touch bringing the two main characters from the first book into this story. Highly recommend.

    21. Done?I enjoyed your book. I wish it had been longer. It seems that there was unfinished business with Sebastian and Alain. And what about the French revolution?! Anyway the descriptions given were on point. I could imagine every detail as described.

    22. Sheik's SonI loved the characters. I just wish the next book was already out. I am looking forward to the continuing saga.

    23. I loved the rebellious heroine who wrote seditious pamphlets about equal rights. The romance was fun too. Part of a series, but not necessary to read the first. Revolutionary!
