    1. Last year I tried to read Siren’s Fury but ended up putting it down halfway through for a few reasons.~Back then I didn’t have a co-blogger, so I needed new content and this book was taking too long for me to read.~Literally nothing had happened in the plot except that my girl Nym had stowed away on an airship.~I was utterly, utterly BORED. I am not one to say lightly that a book suffers from ‘middle book syndrome’ but by the gods NOW I UNDERSTAND.I put it aside with the plan that I’d [...]

    2. Where to begin? Sigh. Okay, I have a confession. It’s not a pretty one. It’s not something I’m proud of, but here goes:I’ve been in a fantasy reading slump.I know, I know. Stop shouting. It’s horrible. The girl who loves to be whisked off to other realms, the one who dreams of magical wardrobes and happily ever afters, has not been in the mood for fantasy.Excuse me while I hit myself repeatedly over the head.I was terrified. This has never happened to me before. I mean, I’ve never NO [...]

    3. Siren’s Fury drew me in immediately. How could it not after the insanely torturous cliffhanger of book one, right? Like Storm Siren, this book was quite different from anything I’ve read before. I don’t say it’s for everyone. It’s pretty dark, and stuff surrounding the villain is pretty creepy. So, if that’s not your thing, then you probably won’t enjoy it.That said, I thought it was a fascinating book. About three quarters of the way in, I wasn’t sure what I was going to rate it [...]

    4. Thanks to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson for giving me this book to review.Nym has saved Faelen with her elemental powers, but has discovered that the Draewulf is not dead as everyone believed, but has taken over the body of Eogen. With Draewulf having destroyed her powers, Nym feels powerless and decides to sneak in with the delegates to Bron, with her new friend Rasha. While in Bron, Nym tries to discover Draewulf’s plans and Lord Myles offers her a chance to get new powers. But is this new pow [...]

    5. I really enjoyed the first book in this trilogy and even though it ended on a killer of a cliffhanger, it made me even more eager to try the next installment, which is why I jumped at the chance to read it, hoping like crazy it would be even better than the first and thankfully, it was. This second installment held me captive like the first hadn't quite managed to do. I was completely invested in both Nym, Eogan, and Rasha's future not to mention the villain of the story, Draewulf. Action packed, [...]

    6. Siren's Fury is the second book in the Storm Siren Trilogy. This installment picks up after the huge ending in Storm Siren. Nym had saved Faelen but it seems that Draewulf has taken the one thing Nym cared about from her and now he seems to have taken her elemental abilities from her as well. Nym teams up with Lord Myles with each of them using one another for different reasons but Myles gives Nym the chance to gain a new type of power to be able to take on Draewulf.I'll try to keep this review [...]

    7. Aaaaahhhhh! What a ride that was. I love Nym! She has gone through an incredible amount in these two books, and she's gained and lost so much along the way, but still she keeps going forward. Even when I was worried about her choices, I admire her determination and her capacity to learn and fail and grow. This installment takes place in a short time frame and is mostly focused on one task that is tied to that evil cliffhanger in STORM SIREN. Along the way we get a broader look at this world and [...]

    8. 2016 Book AwardsRunner Up: Heroine of the Year 2016 (awarded to Nym)(more information about these awards on my blog)Actual rating: 3.5Okay, so this story was pretty much like this1 - Lots of things happening, lots of information, watch out, alert, help!2 - Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Lalalalala.3 - Lots of things happening, lots of information, watch out, alert, help!So yeah; middle part was really slow but the beginning and the end were exciting to read. A bit of a downer compared to the first [...]

    9. Okay. Wow. A lot just happened in the course of a week in Nym's world. This is a hard one to review or give thoughts on without entirely spoiling it for those who haven't read the first one, so I'm going to go ahead and warn you, if you haven't read Storm Siren, don't read this review.

    10. One of the best books I've read so far this year! It definitely will be on my Best of 2015 list at the end of the year!

    11. If you all remember, I was left reeling at the end of Storm Siren, the first book in Mary Weber's debut series. It has one of the more painful cliffhangers I've experienced, made worse because the second book was months and months away from release. I've been in a ball of denial ever since, along with my friends Nick and Lauren. We were supposed to buddy read this together, but I'm hoping they'll forgive my haste. :)When I finally got my hands on Siren's Fury a few weeks ago, the very first thin [...]

    12. Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: Epic high fantasy set in a captivating world with interesting characters, action packed adventure, and suspenseful plot! I have really enjoyed this series so far and can’t wait to read the final book!Opening Sentence: Five minutes earlier…The Review:To start things off, I have to warn you that this review will contain spoilers for book one. It is pretty much impossible to review this book without giving away some spoilers as to what happ [...]

    13. Mary Weber's Storm Siren last year was one of my favorite debuts. It was one of those books that was a hidden gem for me and I was completely in love with it. However, it ended in one of the most brutal cliffhangers I have ever come across. With Siren's Fury, Mary Weber continues to amaze me with just how talented she is. Siren's Fury is not a book that suffers from any kind of middle-book syndrome and it's a book that has slotted Mary as one of my favorite authors.I was unsure of how the plot w [...]

    14. So I won this book, and I just want to take a moment to squeal about the epic-ly gorgeous cover! And how fantastic it looks in real life! And that cool spine can't wait to add it to my bookshelf!! *grins* I hope to purchase Storm Siren (Book 1) someday ah they'll look so pretty together! ^_^Anyway, onto my thoughts. Firstly, I was so excited to be back into Nym's adventure! (Let's just stop a second and realize what a fantastic name "Nym" is truly, I love it! *smiles*) Yes. Excitement. And n [...]

    15. **Thank you to Thomas Nelson & Wunderkind PR for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review!**I read Siren's Fury a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. I honestly didn't think that it could get any better, but Siren's Fury showed me differently! I loved this book even more than book one. Let me tell you why!I was actually kind of worried about reading this one after that ending from book one. I got so close to some characters and then boom, they were gone just like that! I [...]

    16. Woah… That was intense. With such a glorious and momentous ending. There wasn’t too much of a cliffhanger. Thank goodness. But I still want the next book now!Nym has risked her life to save a country that held her as a slave and outcast. But in the process, she has loss the few things she held most dear. All because of the shape-shifter Draewulf. Then he takes away her abilities and she realizes that she must stop him, at all costs. She follows him on to a airship headed to Bron searching fo [...]

    17. Wow. I'm stunned. Literally, I'm just sitting here, at 2:00 a.m blinking into nothingness. This book was SO. GOOD. An outstanding sequel! Review to come once I can piece my heart back together and formulate words from my melting brain

    18. 4.5 stars. Another 0.5 stars are missing because Nym makes me angry most of the time 😅 The full review will be in my blog soon (tomorrow itself) ✌🏻

    19. One of the most highly anticipated young adult novels of 2015 (or that’s been my experience), the “Siren” is back on store shelves and the wait finally over. Mary Weber’s follow up novel is here. With the heart-stopping ending to Storm Siren and more questions than we could handle left hanging, there was a lot to discover in book two. Now the adventure was about to continue inside the pages of this visually pretty novel. The opening picks up just where book one left off with Nym realizin [...]

    20. 2.5 stars; I found Siren's Fury to be a rather frustrating read. Nym made some really stupid decisions. She did a lot of acting on emotion instead of thinking things through. In the first book, Storm Siren I thought Nym was portrayed as a slave pretty well, even though we only got her memories of this owner and that owner and next to no back story on that part of her life. This time though, I felt like Nym being a former slave just didn't ring true, because anyone who has been a slave for almost [...]

    21. 3.75 stars. (Minus .25 stars cause there wasn't enough Eogan :p)Holy Hell and Damnations! These books are really out there aren't they? Not much surprises me anymore, whatever happens, I've just about always already ruled it as a possibility. But THIS.Just as its predecessor, surprised me.Didn't give me as big a shock as Storm Siren delivered but definitely knocked me over there.Just before starting this. I was gonna go on my reading hiatus.I know. I know. It doesn't make sense especially keeping m [...]

    22. 4.5 Stars!I'll be honest, after the SOUL CRUSHING END TO STORM SIREN, I was more than a little bit scared to read this one. And rightly so. Siren's Fury picks up where Storm Siren ends--actually, a few minutes prior, and we get to experience the RIP YOUR HEART OUT AND SERVE IT TO YOU ON A SILVER PLATTER FEELING ALL OVER AGAIN THANK SO MUCH FOR THAT, MARY WEBER.It's cool though. As with book one, this story is fast-paced, action packed and stuffed full of good things. Magical, healing and romanti [...]

    24. I just finished Storm Siren. My heart is in pieces. I have exhausted all the expletives I know from the three languages I speak. I am dying. Words cannot describe what I feel right now.I NEED THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW. RIGHT THIS INSTANT. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT ENDED THAT WAY. I. REFUSE.
