    1. This had so much potential as well as a lovely cover, but I ended up with a profound sense of being cheated somehow. The reason? The characters never really came alive to me - they were nice enough and all the right ingredients were there, but it came out half-baked somehow as if the writer wasn't that invested in the story. The subplot (little more than a minor addition) with the 'evil' brother was pretty thin and had virtually no sense. Why on earth did Jenna not warn Isaac about her brother str [...]

    2. This is the best Christmas novella I have read in a long time. The characters, setting, and narrative made me feel so festive, and everything simply fell into place for a potential happy ever after.Who doesn't like the idea of a hunky, single Dad taking care of you when you're injured and alone? Even better when he has the hots for you. Isaac was an endearing character, and I could visualise his lifestyle with his daughter Sara and the small town they live in where everyone knows everyone. Despi [...]

    3. This had most of the bells and whistles I look for in my books. Isaac runs an escape from reality type place one could say. Isolated out in the woods, secluded cabins. At least this is what Jenna has in mind when she, in an attempt to escape her normal hectic life style. She has just sold her business and drives to Rivers End. Than she meets Isaac let's just their first meet was hysterical. Not only did Jenna have pillow hair but in the spirit of the season a pair of festive flannel PJ's. You hav [...]

    4. "She'd been an awfully good girl for many years in a row now. And this one perfect Christmas Eve with Isaac was going to be her reward." Bring two lonely people together in a small town at Christmastime and expect the sparks on the log fireplace to fly. But even with all the Christmas chemistry in the air, things don't get off to an easy start for Jenna and Isaac. A dislocated knee and a ne'er-do-well brother with a bit of blackmail on his mind bring complications. Fortunately, these can be over [...]

    5. In this story Jenna is stopping off in Rivers End for a non Christmas vacation, before the start of her new life without her blog in the city.  She is determined to rest and relax and not spend one thought on the Christmas holiday around the corner.  Upon her stay Jenna falls and hurts herself during a hike.  She is rescued by the resorts owner Lucas.Lucas is the proud owner a cabin resort in Rivers End.  Lucas runs the resort left to him by his father and he raises his little girl Sara on h [...]

    6. Silver Bells: Rivers End Romance: The McAllisters Book 1 is by CJ Hunt. This is the start of a great series and one which keeps your attention. Jenna Murphy had come to this cabin to put Christmas behind her. She had just sold her online site which pictured something to do with Christmas for 365 days. She was simply tired of Christmas. Jenna had started the site in an attempt to do those things the normal family did for Christmas but now she was replete. A warm fire, wine, and reading in the hot [...]

    7. This is my first time reading CJ Hunt and I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed reading Silver Bells. This story is about Jenna who is looking forward to her vacation away from the Christmas holiday. This doesn't happen though when she meets Issac and his daughter Sara. I thought this was a quick little read. I loved all the interactions between Jenna, Issac, and Sara. I wish I could have seen more interactions between them and I want to find out if anything else happened with Jenna's brother. Th [...]

    8. This book one is a great start to what should be an exciting three book holiday series. This story lays the groundwork for our protagonists, Jenna, Isaac, and his six year old daughter, Sarah to meet and spend Christmas together then she has to decide if she's going to proceed with her plans or change them. Will she or won't she? This is a strong book one and therefore am wholeheartedly recommending this story for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!(Note: I received a free copy of this book via Bookspr [...]

    9. About 80 pages give or takeNice with a touch of naughty. I love Christmas stories even when they're cheesy or bad. This was neither. A nice light fluffy read about two nice lonely people finding each other. There is also a little girl who speaks and acts like a little girl. Refreshing that. The ending was a little abrupt but the second is free on ku so the saga continues.

    10. Silver Bells (A Rivers End Romance #1) CJ Hunt•Family What happens when family isn't what is all cracked up to be. Well you go to spend the holidays in the mountains away from everything. And then there's a snow storm. What happens between landlord (Isaac) and renter (Jenna)??? Well you'll just have to read Silver Bells to find out. I look forward to reading Book 2 TIPSY, CJ has made a new fan. ARC received from Booksprout for an honest voluntary review

    11. A Crafty Christmas RomanceIf you’re looking for a touch of romance to fire up your holidays, CJ Hunt’s Silver Bells is a good place to start. Grab a glass of wine or a cup of tea and join Jenna Murphy in Rivers End, where a planned escape from all things Christmas is complicated by the handsome Big River Lodge owner, Isaac MacAllister, and his sweet five-year old daughter. Silver Bells is a quick read and a warm interlude on a cold, snowy night.

    12. Christmas & RomanceThe two work nicely together and this book beings out the best of both. An old fashioned type of boy meets girl, girl likes to be around him & his kid, they figure out a way to try out a relationship. Then the author writes another book for you to learn more. The end. Still, the first book is a stand alone, but doesn't give away too much. Just enough to get you reading till the end.

    13. She wanted a vacation from work and Christmas. No Christmas for 10 days. On the 2nd day she was answering her door in porn elf pajamas with bed head and a hunky guy has brought her breakfast and the whole vacation spins out of control. Jenna falls and hurts her knee and ends up on crutches and hunky guy Isaac helps her out. Wonderful loving funny sweet Christmas romance Loved it

    14. Romantic Christmas NovellaThis is mostly sweet and clean novella. This is the entry episode of both the MacAllisters series and the River’s End Christmas. It is a fast and pleasant read. There is just enough cute, romance and angst to make a nice and believable story. I will read more of this author’s work.

    15. I don't usually go for seasonally themed stories (yup, I'm a Grinch!), but I picked this one up on a friend's recommendation and read the whole story in one bath! It was wonderful. And I'm thrilled to learn that it's the first in a series that looks like it will have many, many linked stories! What fun!

    16. I liked the characters and the story was good. I was a bit disappointed that nothing was really resolved with her brother. This is book 1, but the next book appears to be about Lucas and Shannon (there's an excerpt at the end of this book for book 2), however there might be mentions of plot threads from this one in the next one since it picks up just days after Silver Bells ends.

    17. A first time with this authorI love reading Christmas books. Of course, this one has a twist to it, but I read it almost entirely in one setting. Every time I put it down, I came back and picked it up again. It ended way too soon, have the next in the series on hand and can't wait to get to it. It's a great read!

    18. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.A cute and steamy Christmassy novel. I enjoyed all the characters of this series. They felt real and authentic to me. I thought each had a fun quirk that stood out and I'd love to get to know them on a personal level!

    19. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Love Story between Issac and Jenna was breathtaking. Great storyline and well rounded characters. The story is a great steamy Christmas story. A good start to a new series and I will have to read more books by this author.

    20. This is a nice quick story that is part of a series but is a stand alone book. It features Isaac and Jenna, he is a single dad running a business and she books a stay in one of his cabins to try to figure out what to do with the rest of her life. You will not regret reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    21. I found myself laughing at some of the things that happened in this story This is the first book by this Author I have read and I enjoyed it from the first page until the last one. It was a short read that went very fast. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Because I enjoyed reading I also got a copy.

    22. CLIFF HANGERS ARE THE SHITSI hate cliff hangers, for they always want you to buy the next book, to finish the story. Just another way to get money out of you. Other than that, the book was good.

    23. Silver BellsA heart warming holiday read with lots of family dynamics. Some good and some not, however a couple find each other with the added bonus of a child and become a family.

    24. I enjoyed the story, but I was disappointed that the story between Jenna and her brother was not further developed, and to me there was not enough development of the climax of the story. I felt like I was left hanging without further details of how Jenna and Isaac's relationship would develop.

    25. Okay, this is an excellent Christmas romance novel. Love, love, loved it. Wonderful story, great setting, fun characters, and fun writing. Yes, there are giggles and laughs in this book. It's a fun and refreshing read. Makes me smile just writing the review. I highly recommend you put this book on your holiday reading list.

    26. A really charming bookThis is a good book, well written and very captivating for the reader. A gentle romance that gives you a good storyline

    27. Goodthe story that shows how Christmas brings one young child the kind of special Christmas memories that are given by a young woman

    28. Lovely festive read.Wow what a lovely lighthearted read for the festive season. I fell a bit in love with Isaac myself. Jenna is a great character, could be my bff!😁

    29. This book is about love and family. The characters are sweet and loveable that you can't help falling in love with them. The storyline will pull you in and tug at your Heartstrings.

    30. Great storyline and the very likeable characters made this book a very enjoyable and entertaining read!I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
