    1. Did I miss something? Why did everyone love this book? I found the female protagonist to be exceedingly unlikeable and so out of line with the time period that it was almost insulting. No properly bred woman of that time would ever act like that and this fact does not make her endearing it makes her grating. The book also took forever to get to a point and spent far too long on inconsequential parts (her arrival home, Guffald's arrival to her home, everything with her brothers, and all the rigma [...]

    2. Female pirate adventure! If you want to read a captivating Rogue romance with a female pirate, then I found the perfect book for you. Katherine Bone has done it again with her book titled The Rogue's Prize, the second in the Nelson's Tea Trilogy. I loved her characters Henry and Adele. Again, it's a fun adventure filled with intrigue and action! It’s a wonderful read and a fast paced suspense filled with twist and turns! This romance was well written and I could not put it down, it kept me int [...]

    3. Pirates! Romance! Classic historical romance with punch!Captain Henry Guffald is a man on a mission. Under orders that will make or break his career, Henry knows that if he fails it is more than his career or his reputation on the line - it’s a man’s life. Suddenly waylaid by a female pirate who insists on being taken seriously and attempts to outwit him, he has no choice but to play the game set down by her father, Earl Pendrim, if he is to save his compatriot’s life.Adele Seaton tends to [...]

    4. This is the second book in The Nelson’s Tea series. I did read the first book, and I enjoyed it. This book is easily read on its own.Captain Henry Guffald meets his match in Lady Adele Seaton. Both have something to prove and will stop at nothing to accomplish their goal. Lady Adele masterfully takes control of Captain Guffald’s ship. That happens fairly early in the story and it goes downhill from there. The characters are unrealistic and poorly developed. Lady Adele “the pirate” turns [...]

    5. Needing a perfect escape from day to day stuff I will turn to historical from time to time. It has to have something to keep me hooked to it grabbing my attention right away. The molds women were put in had them being what would seem fluff or just plain suzy homemakers but the romance could be so sweet and gallant. I like dashing and daring also so when I opened this novel this author had the right stuff. She roped me to the ship for a wild ride for a adventure I had been looking for. I become s [...]

    6. Adele “Captain Belle” Seaton is 19 and the only daughter in an ocean of sons of the Earl of Pendrim. She yearns for her father’s approval and that desire lands her in hot water frequently. She is beautiful, headstrong, good with a sword and NOT interested in any of the “womanly pursuits” of her peers. She wants adventure, freedom, and a challenge in her life and any marriage. Captain Henry Guffald is on a mission to retrieve his best friend from a Spanish Pirate. He has things in his p [...]

    7. Witty, humorous, there were bits that had me in fits LOL;) Amazing at the same time a VERY Infuriating female!! Highly recommended to check this one out!!But Bone needs to work more on the chemistry element between the H&H . flaw I noted in both book 1 and 2 and wouldn't mind a bit more steam thereMy Captain Henry:Well the She-Pirate reminded me of The part where Henry duped Adele by doing exactly what she demanded was d when she double duped and shocked him (as he left her shackled in the n [...]

    8. The Rogue's Prize was one of those novels that captivates its reader from the very beginning, and keeps you glued to the pages in order to find out what happens next. It has everything you could possibly want in a good novel; there is romance, adventure, soldiers, spies and did I mention pirates? Each of the characters is fell developed, and motivated for their own needs and goals. The two main characters, Lady Adele and Captain Guffald are both working towards the same goal - although for two s [...]

    9. I received this book in exchange for an honest review:I was a bit confused by this book. I found the female protagonist to be very unlikeable, juvenile, and annoying (maybe that was the point?) and completely at odds with the time period. No properly bred woman of that time would ever behave the way she did. It was also a little long winded for my liking and I felt that it didn't add anything new to the story. And I LOVE long books. I read Diana Gabaldon. And the names: they were too similar, ma [...]

    10. SHIVER ME TIMBERS! IT BE A LADY, A ROGUE, AND A PIRATE! And that's just the heroine. The hero - a traitor, a cripple, a double agent in love with another man's wife. And a supporting cast of gentle ladies, lords, ships, evil villians, and assorted ship's crews. The main characters are carefully drawn, with major detail given to coloring them completely - but not without independence. It is as if, after finding the coloring book, Ms Bone first selects a unique set of colors, and then, somehow, cha [...]

    11. This was an awesome addition to the Nelson Tea series! I found myself wondering what would happen to Henry after the first book and his story was far from disappointing. He is out to seek redemption from his wayward ways and finds himself in a new dillema. He finds himself enthralled by Lady Adele and gets a bit more than he bargained for. Only Katherine could entwine Garrick, Adele and Henry the way she did. Just when you think things will settle down, something pops up! Thankfully the great Hu [...]

    12. Strong female lead in this action adventure on the high seas.  Adele, aka Captain Belle is out to save her brother and prove to her father that she can captain her own ship.  Captain Henry is a navy captain and a strong hero for her.  I really liked Adele until her foolishness at the rescue scene.  I was angry enough to almost through the book.    Both Adele and Henry are trying to rescue her brother who has been captured by a spanish pirate and is being tortured.  You can see my full rev [...]

    13. Enjoyable enough in places but a very average pirate romance. It was a little long winded for my liking and I felt that it didn't add anything new to this tired genre. Although there was some action on board the pirate ship the rest of it was just dull. It didn't have enough intrigue or suspense to hold my attention. I found the female character quite juvenile and annoying and I wasn't that bothered about the rescue of her brother and the interactions with the rest of her family.I may be in the m [...]

    14. What an amazing read, especially after finishing up my finals. This book was captivating and I really wanted to step into Captain Belle's shoes. Weather she was Captain Belle or Lady Adele , she was fierce, though a bit naive at times. Her attraction to the Captain, a.k.a Henry is slow at first and they start out hating each other, but man is it fun to read about. Spoiler: My favorite part may have been when she took care of him after he took watch without rest and little to eat. It was such a c [...]

    15. I received this book as a ARC for a honest review! I will try not to post any spoilers in my review but it can happen! Now, if your looking for a fast paced, female pirate who wins some loses some, this is the book for you. You will never know if she is going to pull a sword or throw her fist at the lead but man what a great read! It has great details along with twists you least expect and just when you figure it out it turns again. Her detail for the realistic details of that time frame are on t [...]

    16. Another great adventure from Katherine Bone. She creates strong characters and gives them a great adventure with mystery and suspense all in a well written story. Captain Henry Guffald must redeem himself after his last failure if he is to remain part of Nelson's Tea. To do so he must rescue a fellow member in Spain. Lady Adele Seaton, aka Captain "Belle" Pirate, has her own secret mission she is on. The two captains will clash, in more ways than one, sword fights and mayhem will ensue!! This bo [...]

    18. Fiesty!A wonderfully told pirate adventure. Adele is a young wilful daughter to an Earl. She is impulsive and passionate. These qualities make for some dramatic adventures and riveting reading. Adele sets off to save her brother Garrick and doesn't count on Captain Henry Guffald's experience determination and devastatingly handsome person. I enjoyed the sparring and chemistry between Henry and Adele and their deep love for each other. Garrick's rescue was thrilling. A great read overall.

    19. If you love pirates you'll love The Rogue's Prize! When Captain Henry is sent to help release a man taken prisoner he is waylaid by pirates. He's surprised when the Captain of the pirates is not only a woman but the sister, Adele, of the man he's going to rescue. A game of cat and mouse is played back and forth until due to speaking before thinking the two are forced to marry. In the journey to their mission they become husband and wife in more than name and Henry admits his feelings when he is [...]

    20. #2 in the Nelson's Tea" series, but can be read as a stand alone. An absolute delight! A female pirate, and Captain in need of redeeming himself. Fast paced, adventure filled tale, with well developed characters and a unique storyline. Fans of sea adventure, pirates and romance are in for a treat. Much loved! *Received for an honest review from the author via Library Thing*Rating: 4.5Heat rating: MildReviewed by: AprilR, courtesy of My Book Addiction and More

    21. First and foremost, isn't the guy on the cover at least supposed to be blonde? The story was enthralling although it had WAY more typos than the first book. There seems to be something that I noticed on more than one occasion while reading the Captain's books. She is actually one of the few authors who uses the greater to lesser urgency syntax (though not always) but it might throw some readers off.

    22. This second in the Nelson's Tea series tells the tale of redemption and rescue. Henry needs to redeem himself for past actions. The sea is his life and without it he feels lost. While on a mission to rescue another member of Nelson's Tea, he is waylaid by a female pirate. Little do they know that their missions are the same. Lady Adele is nothing like any other woman Henry has ever known. Who bests who? Who will win the day? You will have to read it for yourself to find out.

    23. Another great book from Katherine Bone!Great storyline, I loved the characters, Adele and Henry they are perfect for each other. I loved the book and highly recommend it.

    24. I totally loved this book! The first book of hers I read but not the last. Very well written and realistically so. The characters come to life. Definitely a keeper and should have more than five stars.

    25. A great beach read! You'll be looking out for that pirate ship in the ocean while your sipping your rum on the sand! My favorite thing: Adele! What a character!! She is so feisty and strong, constantly causing trouble, she bursts from the page!
