    1. I was quite enchanted by this little tale. The main character comes across as mercurial, tragic, and just a little bit sinister. One thing that leaps out about this tale is the atmosphere. I found myself lost in the moodiness and emotions in this story. There are several twists which you won't see coming, but are effectively executed and enrich the story. I was struck by the imagery and complete submergence near the end of the tale. The author was to create scenes that will stay with you for a lo [...]

    2. Ann Andrews has done it again. Her third installment of Rehab For Superheros is superb. We get a view into the origins of Em and the view is quite complex. Raised in a cult she flees in search of a better life - only to find herself even farther from the life she expected. Her biological family dysfunctional to its core, she is propelled into a new family unit that is also lacking in normalcy. Will this new family be a blessing or a curse? Will she find what she is looking for? Just as Em, I can [...]

    3. The series just gets better and better! I absolutely loved this, the second installment. This one worked better for me because as it furthered the main plot of the series, there were several flashbacks to Em's past, giving this piece a solid back story woven into the main one.Very much looking forward to the next segment.

    4. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I am a big Superman fan but some of the other superheroes can be not as great sometimes. I have my moments about them. But I love this book. It was very interesting and I have not read any books in this series until this book so this book makes me want to read more. *I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

    5. I loved Em's story, how she came with her power. It's filled with mysteries. The author reveals her characters little by little. However, in this installment I believe we get to see a glimpse of a bigger plot in the making. The last scene was well done, leaving you wanting more. However, the installments are too short. Give me the full story so I can fully enjoy it! I read too many books and by the time I get to the next installment, I'm a bit lost. It takes me a few too many pages to put the pu [...]

    6. Wonderful and imaginative. The character of this book is an interesting one, and I may have to fully read the work a few times to be sure I caught all of her idiosyncrosies, but another wonderful addition to the Rehab for Heroes series. The others are availablehere andhere Happy reading!

    7. :-o come on! It can't be left like that, can it? I loved this short stories trilogy. They were well written, had me laughing, and left me confused- but in a good way. Andrews did a wonderful job of setting the scene and telling the story of how Quinn, jack, Jesse and em came to be who they are.

    8. Now in the third installment, the plot is getting even more complex. Em is an interesting character. I'm not sure enough time is spent explaining her background, so I hope that more is revealed in future installments. I await the arrival of the next portion.

    9. Think X-Men meets Warehouse 13 and you get the idea behind the Rehab for Superheroes short story collection. I read Em right after reading Jack, and still want more. Good job!

    10. So many new questions!I really enjoyed Em's backstory, the deep mystery of her artifact and power. The aftershocks of Quinn & Jack's rescue and their reaction to joining another mysterious group determined to keep them separate from society were interesting to explore. Another nice read!

    11. This time, we are introduced to Em. She has water powers, including the ability to survive underwater for great lengths of time. We also get a glimpse of the base for the superheroes. This is another excellent installment in the series. But it has the same problem that most comic book superhero stories have. You don't feel like you are getting a full story with just this installment. A lot of things are left hanging, including parts of Em's backstory it seems. So as long as you aren't expecting a [...]

    12. Now now a superhero sequence is incomplete without a water bearer. So the third episode in Rehab for Superheroes we have Emily, the water girl. [Again the cover made me love the book!]The third episode of this amazing series brings in Jesse the good savior of our troubled heroes Quinn and Jack. They are rescued and brought into the safe place. And then the story diverts to introduce the water girl, Emily! This superhero story starts with the childhood of a hero. What starts out as fear leads to [...]

    13. Wow! Another character, more intrigue, more information as a whole! I'm just loving the way Ann gives these short stories that stand alone, yet fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, bringing about a fuller picture as a whole!

    14. Best of the three so far. A story within a story. Well written. I am really enjoying the writers style of writing. Full of twists within the storyline.
