    1. Xunaira Javed is an emerging Pakistani author. Though I haven't read her previous works, I was always keen to know more about her through her writing.I thank her for bestowing an opportunity upon me to read and review her third book, 'Before Time'. Here's my review about it.'Before Time' is a part of a Trilogy (The Time Trilogy) as the author says.It is a story about a girl named Onaiza Shahid who lives with her parents and siblings in Islamabad, Pakistan. She is a complete loner and likes to ke [...]

    2. When reality becomes too much for a young Pakistani woman, because her hopes and dreams seem to be secondary to the wishes of others, she turns more and more to the world of internet chat. Here she can speak freely, here she can be as beautiful as she wants and those she chats with take on more importance than those she interacts with in “the real world.” Onaiza lives in an isolated world, unhappy with her appearance, her life and relationships. A chance encounter online introduces her to a [...]

    3. Big thanks to Xunaria for an ARC copy for review.I do love a good secret love affair between star crossed lovers, but I couldn't really connect with this story. It just didn't draw me in like I hoped it would. I am just not a big fan of online romance, so it was hard for me to feel the chemistry and romance between Onaiza and Ash. I thought Onaiza was a great narrator, but unfortunately this one just wasn't for me.

    4. Great read!! This is a wonderful book that is very well written. The author has done an amazing job in keeping the reader intrigued and glued to the pages. A wonderful mixture of emotions that made me want to read a lot more. The characters are very likable and very believable. I would highly recommend this book

    5. This entire book is fucking pointless. It's just a long drawn-out mIRC conversation. It's nearly two hundred pages, but that's all it is. Just online chat bullshit. It just never goes anywhere. I kept hoping for something to happen in the real world, but it never did. This story is about twenty-year-old Onaiza and her online boyfriend. Okay, he's not really her boyfriend. He's just some random stranger on mIRC who suddenly becomes very interested in her. Or maybe he's not interested in her at all [...]

    6. Well, this book was quite interesting. I would absolutely go crazy if I were Onaiza with nothing to do all day long except sleep!! Onaiza is an ordinary college-age young lady looking for her place in life. It doesn't matter the country, everyone is looking for their place. I can't imagine living in a country so steeped in tradition that you are not truly free to make the choices that some societies take for granted. I am no expert on the subject, but this book makes you think about some of thos [...]

    7. This was an enjoyable story which kept me intrigued, even though it was far different from the genres I typically read. In this story, we meet Asher (26) and Onaiza (20) but the story is told in first-person through Onaiza's viewpoint. The two meet in an anonymity-based online chat room and soon develop a sense of trust in each other. They share things about themselves - even their photos and real names - and even go as far as to speak to each other on the phone. As a reader, I watched as their co [...]

    8. Are you read for an adventure in modern Pakistan. Xunaira J. gives us a fine book, billed as first in a trilogy, that is full of exotic flavor as our heroine comes of age in today's Pakistan. But wait: nineteen-year-old Onaiza Shahid is a bookish young woman, a dreamer, bookish and socially isolated. Internet chat rooms change her life. There she meets the words of a compelling stranger. She's soon addicted to their digital love affair. Her life changes. But is her world changing for better, or wo [...]

    9. Reviewed for Hooked on Books---3 stars! When reality becomes too much for a young woman, her hopes and dreams seem to be unimportant, she turns to the world of internet chat. She's allowed to speak free here. She's unhappy with the way she looks and her whole life in particular. A surprising encounter online introduces her to a man who shares his knowledge, his feelings and his thoughts regarding his opinion of Onaiza, which she takes personal. She becomes almost obsessed waiting for him to retur [...]

    11. "Before Time" was an online romance set in Pakistan that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved the fact that the story was so easy to read and because of this it was a very light entertaining book to sit down with. :)However, the best part about this particular novel is the way the author uses her narrative to describe the Pakistani culture so astutely and in such fine detail. From Wedding Celebrations to Society's expectations from young women, the author captured it all. I recommend this for all those [...]

    12. "Before Time (The Time Trilogy Book 1)" by Xunaira J, is the first in a new series set in modern Pakistan, the first book of its sort I have read. From the very first pages, as an internet romance leads our heroine to adventure, this book is multi-faceted, more than a simple romance. It's a colorful, exciting genre-mixing story with an engaging story line. Join Onaiza Shahid as she discovers what may be the lover of her dreams on lineWonderfully realized, this first book in a series is completel [...]

    13. Full of excitement, passion and yearningBefore Time (The Time Trilogy Book 1) Xunaira J.A really interesting and great read from Xunaira which will easily connect with late teens but will also appeal to many age groups. The book highly engages the reader in this 'toss and turn' love story set in Pakistan - full of excitement, passion and yearning. An unfolding of love and dreams makes this a book you won't want to put down!A sensational love 'Before Time' 5*****

    14. This is the first book in trilogy based in Pakistan. I found it to be quite the page turner. Looking forward to book two as I need to see where this blossoming young relationship is headed. Well-written with characters you can relate to. You won’t be disappointed by this exciting read. I highly recommend!!!

    15. ReviewI finished reading ‘Before Time’ by Xunaira J. last night. The writer sent me an e-copy of the book to review and share my thoughts regarding the story. She is an emerging Pakistani writer and possesses a great passion for writing. Before Time is her first book in Time Trilogy series and she is working on its sequel. The story is about a girl Onaiza Shahid who is 20 years old introvert and lives in Islamabad with her parents. She likes being alone and use internet (mIRC) excessively. Sh [...]

    16. I received an electronic copy of this book for an honest review. I was not a fan of the format of this novel, as I thought that the constant switch between Onaiza's real life and her online romance ruined the continuity of the novel. I thought that the author should have chosen to focus on one aspect of Onaiza's life at a time. I was able to make it through this book quickly, but it left me wanting to know more.
