    1. This is a cute story about thirteen year old Rosie Smith who has just moved with her parents and eight year old brother, from New York City to Singapore. Funny and embarrassing things happen to Rosie as she settles into her new life, in her new school. I really enjoyed the characters in her family, they were a believable mix of supportive and embarrassing.     2. This is a light, fun read perfect for fans of DORK DIARIES. I love, love, LOVE the fact that this is set in Singapore! Hooray!Even if you don't know much about Singapore, there are little hints at the food and simple cultural elements that are introduced in an easy way that add to the flavor of this book. My favorite cultural things were the bus auntie, Auntie Nora, and the mention of Grandma sending her medicinal tea for her birthday when she was still in New York.
