    1 thought on “Unholy Bonds”

    1. Unholy Bonds is the sequel to Hijacked, which I've reviewed on previously. If you haven’t yet read Hijacked, I’m confident you can still follow along with Unholy Bonds, but still, go read Hijacked too, because it’s one of the strongest books I’ve read this year.Anyway, back to Unholy Bonds. We meet again with Ben & Lannis, now getting married and finding their way through their relationships and through their own hearts in the aftermath of crimes committed against them. We also get [...]

    2. Unholy Bonds follows newlyweds Lannis and Ben (from Lynch’s first novel, Hijacked) as they seek justice for Lannis. However, the story takes several interesting and surprising turns. The author creates a chilling villain, but this book is an excellent illustration that each person always has the choice to change. Unholy Bonds allows us to see into the mind of a unfeeling rapist, but Lynch also shows us that forgiveness can be a road to recovery, not only with the victim, but with the perpetrat [...]

    3. Leslie Lynch takes suspense to a whole new level in the second book in her Appalachian Foothills series, in which pilot Lannis Parker struggles with forgiving the rapist who destroyed her ability to trust and feel safe. The courtroom scene is INTENSE.In an unexpected twist, the reader is given a peek into the world of a criminal behind bars. Along with Lannis, the reader is invited to try to forgive the attacker.Excellent novel.

    4. Another great read!In this sequel to Hijacked or main character Lannis gets the chance to prosecute her attacker/rapist and see him convicted. What followed is an amazing story of healing, forgiveness and love. She gets the man who helped her to heal and fell in love during the process besides reconciling with the family she walked away from feeling shame from the attack we land of in the first book. While events from the first book are alluded to in this story do not miss out on the romantic fi [...]

    5. Suspense, suffering, the aftermath of violent sexual assault, forgiveness, reconciliation and restorative justice. Unusual subjects, but all expertly and professionally written, edited and presented. Quality writing for mature, adult readers. The sophisticated understanding of each character's psychology was impressive. The alternating points of view were handled like a pro. Expert writing, with a smooth, fluid style. I want to read the other two books in the series!

    6. I loved this book. It was a fast read with a good plot and fantastic characters. It was different from my usual mysteries, but I'm so glad I plunged in. I became involved in the story and even had tears in my eyes at one point and will definitely read more by Ms. Lynch. I loved the surprise ending!
