1 thought on “Emmaline Waters, This Is Your Life”

    1. What bothered me the most about this book (other than feeling like it was incredibly slow despite it being so short) was Emmaline. She came off, at least to me, as such a tease. I don't mind romantic triangles (or quadruples- non-sexual) in a story, but I wasn't entirely sure who she would end up with until almost the end. And I don't mean that in the- it was so well written I was left constantly guessing in a good way. Her choices completely turned me off. In all honestly I was rooting for the [...]

    2. LameThere is no depth of character to anyone. The plot is totally unrealistic. It is a fast read and a cute but unrealistic "love" lust story. I can't in good conscience recommend this book.

    3. AwesomeCouldn't put it down. Great read. Very attention grabbing even tho kinda predictable. Not sure I will read more bc I don't buy books if they come up free I'm in

    4. I could see this playing out like a romantic comedy move with emmaline waters being played by an actress like Emma stone. I enjoyed this book and laughed out loud several times.

    5. This is the very first review on 'Emmaline Waters' which is kind of nerve-racking to be honest! But despite my nervousness, I'll give the best review I can.I received an ARC from the writer herself, which was unbelievably amazing, so thanks Miss Bloom! Now, on to the story:'Emmaline Waters, This Is Your Life' is centered around college graduate Emmaline Waters, a girl with a complicated, slightly over-dramatic flair on life. As the summary suggests, Emmaline isn't living the life she wanted. She [...]

    6. After deciding to try to give this book another chance since the beginning was so horrible, I realized that maybe I should have stuck with my intuition. The story-telling is good, no spelling, or grammar problems. The whole problem is that Emmaline is unlikable. Why? Well she is so damn immature that it is unbelievable. Her four-year old sister turns out to really be her daughter, her parents are also paying all of her bills on top of this. And even though Emmaline has a college degree, she can' [...]

    7. I LOVED the writing. I was cracking up constantly. While the level of writing was excellent, the storyline just seemed to fall.I was so confused with all the different guys she "wanted to kiss" that when the ending came, it just felt extremely rushed. There were some pointless parts of the book that I felt like should have been left out i.e. texts from a certain someone and the neighbor guy. Why?!I could have kept reading all day, simply because of the writing-not the storyline.

    8. I enjoyed the writing and found this book really funny until the last few chapters. I felt like the ending was super rushed, we didn't even see the relationship build between the H and h and they were already in love. And then the last chapter was like a summary of the half of the book that was missing.

    9. A very sweet and loving story!! I love Emmaline's personality, she is smart, quirky, sarcastic and funny. I really enjoyed all the charactersl were engaging and relatable. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a sweet love story as well as a few laughs!!

    10. I started this and got to about 30% and I just cant keep going shes all over the place and I'm guessing the "little sister" is actualy her daughter that her parents are raising for her cuz she is too immature? I dunno, not a fan

    11. Could barely finishI wouldn't recommend this book. It took me forever to finish but I did. There is no real story here just a bunch of ideas all rolled into one. The characters never really develop, no real background, and you never feel like you can picture any of it.

    12. Funny and heartwarmingWhen I first started reading the book, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I usually am not into "romantic comedy" but as soon as I got past the first chapter I was hooked. Now I am looking forward to reading the second installation, "The Mrs."

    13. Too chaotic Hard to like main character made it hard to get through the book. The end did see her making improvements but for me it would have been too little too late

    14. Sweet funny heartwarming romanceLoved the romance and humor throughout the book. Incredible read from a new to me author. Highly recommend this book.

    15. Loved itLoved this story of how a young girl went for her dreams with the help of her parents and everything worked out

    16. Enjoyable readBook seemed to jump around a bit but nothing to crazy. Would have liked more romance but was able to hold my interest

    17. Very upliftingThis was the perfect book for a rainy afternoon, I will most likely be purchasing book 2, very uplifting and cute.

    18. Great vacation beach readHighly entertaining though predictable. Still kept my interest. A fast read as well. Uncomplicated reading firms highly complicated young character.
