    1. It was a letdown.I really loved the first book in this series so I went into this one with high expectations. Sadly, it didn't work out the way I hoped. My main problem with this story was that I couldn't warm up to both Hunter and Rosie. Rosie isn't my kind of heroine. Never. She thought of herself as a strong and independent woman, but what I saw was opposite of what she thought she was.Although Hunter is so damn hot, what he did to Rosie was one big NO for me. She gave him all of herself and h [...]

    2. Hunter the mysterious and Rosie the ass kicker. When Rosie was 19 or so, she fell in love with Hunter. They were both into martial arts and had a torrid affair from which he walked without away without a second thought. Rosie was crushed and has kept her love life safe and boring since then. She had let her sore heart blind her to the bigger picture of their brief relationship. It was a powerful love, but there was a disconnect in their communication back then. Hunter returns from Thailand after [...]

    3. Another scintillating sizzler from Sarah Morgan's Cosmo Red Hot Reads novellas. Loved Hunter - Hottie McHot! It's given me a new appreciation for gyms and working outw if I could just get someone to lever me off the couch:)

    4. "He’d always been protective. He’d always tried to keep me from being hurt. The irony was that in the end he’d been the one who had hurt me."I am a big sucker for "The one who got awaybut came back eventually" concept, so I guess it's no surprise why I liked this novella. This was a very quick read for me, and I honestly enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the first installment of this series, but I felt like the first book had a lighter plot than this one. I felt like Burned's plot had more depth, [...]

    5. I still remember the first Cosmo Red Hot Read I read by Sarah Morgan called Ripped! It was all kinds of hilarious funny and extremely super hot. So of course I jumped at the chance to read her second CRHR and oh my was it all kinds of awesomeness! The author once again gave that super sexy flair of passion meets reality meets humor all neatly wrapped with a big bow of amazing writing! The story tells of Rosie and how her perfect zen balance is thrown for a serious loop when her former coach and [...]

    6. 4 stars – Contemporary Romance NovellaThis was a nice surprise, especially for such a short read. It's a hot, compelling romance with a very yummy hero!

    7. Original review posted at scorching-book-reviewsFTC : I requested this book from NetGalley. It is the first I have read from this author. This is another great read from the Cosmo Hot Reads line and now I am going to go back and read the first in the series (I didn’t realise that it was the second in the series ’til half way in). It is hot, funny and the only complaint is that I didn’t think there was a whole lot of character development going on but I’m going to put that down to the leng [...]

    8. Slick‘s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews4 STARSReview copy provided for an honest reviewUnless you’ve lived through it no one ever knows how they will react if they were to see their first love and first heartbreak return into their lives. I know we’d all like to think we could handle it, be mature, forget the past and that’s exactly what the heroine in Sarah Morgan’s Burned tries to do but instead she finds herself in a bad situation one her ex helps her get out of right [...]

    9. ** 3.5 stars **My first Sarah Morgan read was Ripped, the first novella in the Miller Sisters series. Ripped contained a winsome heroine, a swoony hero and so many laughs. Needless to say, I was anxious to start Burned.Burned follows Rosie Miller, a trainer and martial artist. I love that Rosie was so kick-ass. The story opens with Rosie being dumped by her boyfriend for being too strong. Can you believe that? The idiot literally wants someone more fragile to help his poor wittle ego. So what's [...]

    10. I loved "Ripped", Hayley and Nico's story and of course I wanted to know who Rosie's ex was. I mean, he had taken on Voldemort like proportions! Well, I finally read "Burned" and got to meet him and boy was he worth the wait. The story starts with Rosie in a lovely restaurant getting dumped by current boyfriend and tool Brian. He's intimidated by the fact that she is stronger and more bad ass than he is ann wishes she would join a book club and bake cakes. Tool! While listening to this idiot Rosi [...]

    11. And she's done it again!I do believe Sarah Morgan may just have stolen the crown as my number one red-hot read author. I've found that with Sarah Morgan books especially her Cosmo red-hot titles that she has a fabulous way with words. They read with such ease and clarity that you can not help but fall in love with the characters or the plot.Burned is brilliant, I loved it. I loved that it linked in with the first in the Miller Sister series Ripped, and I loved that yet again as hot and wild as i [...]

    12. 3.5 starsStill a solid read from Sarah Morgan, but I didn't find it was witty as the first book about the other Miller sister, and it feels like there was a lot of tiptoeing between around that could have been avoided between the two main characters, who had a past together before Hunter left suddenly. Memorable funny quotes:I started, fascinated, envious, as the guy threw a bundle of notes on the table without counting them. So cool. I've only ever seen that happen in the movies. If I'd done th [...]

    13. I gotta sayI'm kind of annoyed.Page after page was just Rosie brooding about her past with Hunter. How broken he left her when he broke things off. How she was actually very clingy so she can't really blame him. And because she thinks that's the reason he broke up with her she's too embarrassed to question him why he actually left. But now she has learned her lesson and is 'strong.' HA! She was not strong at all! She was pathetic. It's been 5 years, move on!And then more pages of just inner mono [...]

    14. I read "Ripped" last year and it was a revelation: funny, hot and sweet. So I got "Burned" as soon as it came out.Much to my disappointment, I did not enjoy this story. Three themes were repeated over and over again: lousy childhood/bad parents of the heroine, first breakup was her fault for being so clingy/messed up and how she was so much stronger now. Unfortunately, her actions didn't support the last. If the repetitive affirmations had been edited out, the story would have been about 4 chapt [...]

    15. Whenever you want to escpae to the world of romance go grab one of Sarah Morgan's books and curl on sofa with a cup of hot chocolate :). Burned is book two in the Miller sistres series. It is a second chance story "my favourite storyline".Rosie and Hunter are back together after 5 years of no see. The chemistry between them confirmed that there are hidden feelings that both Rosie and Hunter unravelled with so much delicatness and raw emotions. The time they stayed together proved that the 5 year [...]

    16. This story just got better the further you read!I'm always hesitant with stories that (and there's no spoilers here since this is back story) a hero walks out on heroine years ago and devastates her. But, there really is something very endearing in the way that both of these characters react around each other-quite apart from the explosive chemistry. There are good reasons for how they've both reacted in the past which is refreshing.Great job by the author and well worth a read if you love an emot [...]

    17. I really enjoyed this story it is hot passionate and heartwarming as Rosie and Hunter reunite after he saves her Hunter is a hero to die for and Rosie just the heroine for him. Hunter walked away and left Rosie heartbroken years before but she has never gotten over him but Hunter has his reasons for leaving and now he is determined to be with Rosie again I read this one in one sitting it is a great sensual journey to a HEA. I love Sarah Morgan's stories and this one did not disappoint me :)

    18. A short sexy read from a great author. However, I have to say that as a Brit myself reading a book written by a Brit and set in the UK, I did find the Americanisms kind of annoying. Rosie mocks Hunter for using 'elevator' and says he must have spent too much time in Hollywood but just before this, Hunter talks about taking her to the "ER" which she doesn't comment on. And no Brit I know would refer to University as "college".

    19. 4 1/2 stars (rounded down to 4 stars, because the story needed to be longer in order to address Hunter's past history)Note: I received this eARC from Harlequin via NetGalley. That had no influence on my review/rating.

    20. I think this length just doesn't work for me all that well. I like the ideas behind the CRHR novellas I've read, but I want them to be longer. I need the development.

    21. This was an incredibly quick read. I enjoyed it, but I think Sarah Morgan needs more page time to fully flesh out a story and characters. Hunter and Rosie (damn, I just finished and nearly forgot her name) are a great couple that anyone can see belong together. I had a couple of minor issues - the biggest one being the use of assault so the guy can rush in to the rescue, but still not enough to even really do more than make me frown for a moment. I did appreciate how capable Rosie seems to be. I [...]

    22. Sexy. Sexy. Sexy. Reminded me a lot of LJ Shen's sexy romances, but without as much plot and character development. Which is why I couldn't rate it any higher than three stars.

    23. It started off with a ton of promise- and quickly fell on it's face. It's been a build up of hurt for the readers. Starting in Ripped when we first meet Rosie and find out about her mountain sized (or Hunter sized) weight on her shoulders. Readers get the understanding that Hunter hurt Rosie and therefore Hunter in an asshole. And for five long years she's been nursing this wound, never letting it heal. Purposefully retarding her relationship growth by choosing losers. Burned begins with Rosie g [...]

    24. Burned by Sarah MorganSource: Author/PublisherRating: 4½/5 starsIs there really anything more humiliating than getting dumped by your current boyfriend as your smolderingly hot ex-boyfriend listens in? Yep! How about being told, within earshot of your ex-boyfriend that you are not feminine enough, should join a book club and learn how to bake and then, being attacked in the street after you run out of the restaurant and have to be saved by your ex? Oh, and then the ex criticizes your fighting s [...]

    25. This book was provided by the publisher in the print form of 'Tangled Up' in exchange for an honest review. When I first started this book, I didn't realize this was the second in a series, but it didn't hinder my enjoyment of this book. If anything, it gave me another read to look forward to! :)If you've read some of my previous reviews, then you know I am a huge fan of lovers who have been separated for whatever reason and then reunite. To Rosie's mortification, the love of her life (who she has [...]

    26. Review originally posted at Ramblings From This ChickBurned by Sarah Morgan is the second Miller Sisters book, but can be read as a standalone. This is a short story and is only about 83 pages. Despite the length though, I really enjoyed this one. It was sexy and sweet, and had just the perfect amount of sexual tension. Rosie Miller is having a bad week. She just found out that the gym she works for has been bought and will be under new management and now she is being dumped by her boring boyfri [...]

    27. This is a quick read with great sexual tension and a sexy, intense hero. I loved Ripped by Sarah Morgan last year, which features the heroine's sister. Burned is Rosie's story, who was so cute in Ripped (and she is still cute!). Rosie's passion is the martial art of Muay Thai. She works at a fitness center which has just been sold to new management, so she is unsure about her future. And to make matters worse, her current boyfriend takes her out to a fancy restaurant and dumps her. He tells her [...]

    28. Sarah Morgan's first Cosmo Red-Hot Read was Ripped, which may have been the Best Book Ever. Give or take. Burned picks up where it left off, following the tale of Hayley's sister Rosie, a martial arts trainer with a bit of a complex about it. After all, there aren't many guys who don't feel intimidated by her ability to beat them up, which has seriously compromised her love life. Only one man has been able to stand up to her, and that was her trainer and her first love, Hunter. Except that he du [...]
