    1. Probably unsurprisingly, much of what happened to people with disabilities throughout the Nazi era was horrifying. Whether being gassed, forcibly sterilized, starved to death or experimented upon, these people were directly targeted and persecuted. Suzanne E. Evans presents her work in a very structured and readable way. The book not only covers the extent of euthanasia programs (for both children and adults), but discusses the idea of racial hygiene, the perpetrators/accomplices and the afterma [...]

    2. I am a slow reader but was able to read this book in one day. It may as well have been written by the Disability Rights Advocates (they hold the copyrights) but Suzanne Evans did an excellent job of writing about such a little documented and oft overlooked subject.It is hard to believe the Nazis admired our (the United States) model of eugenics and strove to surpass us -- which they did - because rather than simply sterilizing the disabled, they murdered them by the hundreds of thousands.Evans g [...]

    3. I knew this had happened, but I didn't realise how many people were affected by this tragic event in history. This was an interesting read. I just hope nothing like this ever happens again.
