    1. "Into the Darkness: An Apocalyptic Zombie Novel (The Legend of Shadow and Light)" by Fox Lee is a gripping thriller with multiple strands of narratives that tie together very well. One perspective comes from an evil narrator, one tells of an unspeakable crime committed against a Jewish woman and her unborn child by the Nazis in 1942, and another is set in contemporary Washington.Throw in paranormal aspects, romance and fast paced action writing and you have an idea what kind of exhillerating book [...]

    2. Into The Darkness: The Legend of Shadow and Light is billed as an apocalyptic zombie novel, but it is anything but your average run of the mill undead exploration.Instead, Fox Lee’s book, which by all accounts, is the beginning of what promises to be an epic series of Armageddon sized proportions, eschews standard zombie fare to become a melange of action, thrills and terror that also happens to be occurring right in the centre of a zombie apocalypse. At the heart of it, detailed in a brief pro [...]

    3. You Have the ShineAn evil force gains its sustenance through mankind's misery and suffering, like an ageless parasite. As famines, war, and pandemics ravage humans, the entity bloats like a disgusting, blood sucking bottom feeder. At the most extreme end of the spectrum of evil, the entity takes on a human shape. In World War II Germany, the Nazis conducted gruesome and brutal research. As the result of one particularly cruel experiment, the entity was born in the form of an infant human. Not sur [...]

    4. “Into the Darkness” by Fox Lee is an incredible rush from page one. The writing is fast-paced, and keeps you turning the pages wondering what will happen next. The characters are top-notch as well. Quinn has to be one of the most likeable characters I’ve recently read. He was so well-crafted that he jumped off the page as soon as he was introduced. I felt like from his first scene I knew exactly who he was and like he was an old friend. I love it when that happens in a book! Hope is just a [...]

    5. Monstrous Fun with Non-Stop Action! This is a really enjoyable action thriller that has the feel of a fast paced epic disaster movie. The author blends many genres effortlessly resulting in a unique and enthralling story. It begins with alternative history horror, but quickly transitions thru action thriller and super power awakening, culminating in end of days disaster. The zombies are a believable monstrous horde. They have an epic fantasy feel mixed with a touch of classic horror. As the story [...]

    6. Into the Darkness by Fox Lee is an imaginative work of urban fantasy/horror that takes the battle of light versus darkness in a unique direction that sets it apart from others in this genre. The evil force leading the assault was done well, creating a dark consciousness that had manifest itself in a multitude of both recognizable and new physical forms in Lee's imagined history. This was a smart choice, as it wasn't merely a monster that never lost, but rather an entity that would lose a battle, [...]

    7. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.Ahh… boy was I freaked out by this book – in a good way. I knew that I was in for a zombie horror story, but I didn’t expect to be so tied into it since it’s not really my genre. I found myself unable to put this book down when the sun began to set, and had to watch several comedies on TV before being able to shut my eyes. I’ll admit, I was hiding under the security of my blanket – don’t judge me. Eve [...]

    8. I was grabbed by the opening chapter and enjoyed the unfolding horror. Into the Darkness is a dark read but doesn't rely on gratuitous violence. The characters were interesting and the storyline intriguing. The creature, Zorn, was utterly without empathy and had a twisted sense of humour which I enjoyed. I like monsters to have depth. The Nazi thread was woven into the story well and gave it substance. I love zombie films and books and Into the Darkness didn't disappoint. Although this is an apo [...]

    9. Okay, I had a lot of feelings about this book. I took my time reading it due to the many twists and turns that the plot took and I was wowed by the author's amazing sense of imagination. Vivid details were painted for us describing the 'zombies' and the plight of our hero. It's definitely a book I could read a second time and will perhaps read again in the future. I loved how he mixed in history with the story.I am bewildered by the low star ratings that this novel received and while I did see a [...]

    10. You need to have a couple of days free before you get into this book. The fast paced action will make you tune the rest of the world out It is a combination of horror, suspense and action. A complete end of days, zombie thriller! I can’t decide which character and whose journey I enjoyed more. Zorn’s who is the Devil incarnate bent on destroying the world or Quinn’s who gets catapulted into the protector of the world! They were equally exciting and the momentum builds up as you read the bo [...]

    11. I LOVED it. Into the Darkness is so much more than a zombie thriller. It has an intriguing, clever and fast moving storyline with rich and well crafted characters. There is no shortage of action, and this coupled with that tinge of romance makes it a very enthralling read. Highly recommended. 5 golden stars well deserved. Roll on the next novel please.

    12. Firstly, I'll just point out that I'm not a big zombie apocalypse fan, but I have a flat mate that has been making me watch a ton of films about them and as we all know, books are better than films so I thought I'd give this one a go.Now I give five stars for either characters that I've fallen head over heels in love with or a plot that won't let me put the book down.I can't say I fell in love with the characters because Zorn is one scary (insert certain swear words here) villain. He was gruesom [...]
