    1. To all the honorable people working for respectable literary journals. Some well-meaning advice for you:You don't tug on Superman's capeYou don't spit into the windYou don't pull the mask off old Lone RangerYou don't reject Troy Blackford's storiesLuckily, Troy has combed the beach and rescued six compelling stories from the flood, making the Flotsam available for readers who care (that means you).Go ahead and grab this book. It's probably not of the highest literature value, but it's damn great [...]

    2. Brilliant!I adore strange, out-of-the-box stories. I was so sucked in, I read this all in one sitting! Fantastic stories, truly. I purposely look for books such as these and this was a good find. Keep up the wonderful work!

    3. And again.Truly amazing!Troy Blackford's writing is wonderful, but above anything else it is filled with such incredible originality. Something wich I think is not always easy to find these days, because many books (and movies)deal with terrible cliche's and you can almost always guess how it's going to end. This is definitely not the case with any book Troy Blackford has written. And I always look forward to anything he comes up with, because you never know what will be next!Same goes for 'Flot [...]

    4. A Twitter friend mentioned Flotsam this morning and, intrigued, I clicked through, read other reviews and bought the collection straight away. The six short stories are probably best described as dystopian-fantasy-scifi-horror. Pretty genre defying! It's also just 59 pages so easy to devour in one sitting. The first offering, The Oblong Man, is only a single page so more of a sketched idea than a full story, but the other five are good and, at working out at just 30p each on Kindle, well worth th [...]

    5. Sometimes, there's a bad guy. Often times, that's not the point of view that an author feeds to their readers. Flotsam is a collection of completely immersive, partially disconcerting, perfectly timed short-stories. They are true short stories - no one's trying to become a novella here. Yet, I found myself falling into each one of them very quickly. In some of these stories, you might fall until you hit the floor with a loud "SPLAT!" due to the unconventional tendency for the bad guys to let you [...]

    6. Another great collection of short stories. Three Types of People is a favorite. I have that neighbor! Only with her it's Christian rock at 3 am. Thanks for a great read.

    7. I've come to appreciate short stories! Enjoyed this a lot, read it among a busy crowd but I was easily lost into another world, so bizarre yet so relatable.
