    3. First off, I really enjoyed the fact the author thought to add a character guide which described who was who and who they were with. Very nice touch. What I thought was even more thoughtful was the fact there was also provided a prologue from Wolves Be Damned. This definitely helped me jump right into Kyden and Nexi's relationship. What I actually thought was pretty awesome about this book was all of the action and the magic that's going on. This is definitely one of those books that has a deeper [...]

    4. A magical tale of intrigue, danger and the eternal battle of good vs evil. Click on Banner to Enter to Win A FLIRT Prize Pack! - Ends June 5, 2015The magic in any tale is in the power and imagination of the author’s words. Period. That said, Stacey Kennedy’s got the power to create a magical tale of intrigue, danger and the eternal battle of good vs evil. Yet, there is more in her black hat and she whips out some heated romantic tension that causes her cauldron of creativity to boil and stea [...]

    5. I loved this book! I loved the interactions Kyden and Nexi: "Geesh, you would think you've never seen a kitten before." Nude, aroused, and hot as he'll Kyden glared at kitten. "Whose is that?" "Mine." One dangerously annoyed brow arched. "Yours? As in you're keeping it?"I take it out boy isn't a cat person but he has the patience of a saint where his woman's roaming hands are concerned, "God, you are so gorgeous," she whispered, running her hands down his abdomen. He tensed beneath her touch fle [...]

    6. In this book we catch up with characters previously introduced in Werewolves Be Damned which was the first book in Ms Kennedy's Magic and Mayhem series. I've previously read the authors more erotic Club Sin series so was very pleased to discover a paranormal series by this author . The journey Nexi and Kyden take began in the previous book and the focus is mainly on Nexi and her mixed heritage. She is now part of the Guardians and as a witch who was raised by humans still has a lot to learn. The [...]

    7. Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle:*Copy gifted in exchange for an honest reviewWitches Be Burned was another thrilling installment in Stacey Kennedy's Magic & Mayhem series. I didn't love it quite as much as Werewolves Be Damned, but it was utterly captivating nonetheless. Having read these before they were re-released, I was very excited to see what Stacey did with the rewrites. I think things turned out beautifully, and I am so excited that new readers get a chance to [...]

    8. Review Courtesy of All Things Urban FantasyWITCHES BE BURNED is full of interesting twists and action set in a really unique world where the Otherworld is in another dimension from our world (Earth). I really want to read more about how these two worlds came to be and so many other things about it in general. The general plot is kind of like a police procedural amped up with vampires, witches, and shifters as the potential bad guys. I enjoyed the political maneuverings they had to do in interact [...]

    9. Okay, I'm in. I look forward to the next book because I would like to know more about this Magnus guyReview to come**FULL REVIEW**“While their lives were surround by death and blood, her affection warmed a part of his heart that had never been touched. He needed her, and he had never needed anything or anyone before.”Okay, wow. Jumping into this story without reading book one was an adventure. I loved learning about the characters, their powers, their weaknesses and their love.I also have a [...]

    10. Witches Be Burned is the second book in the Magic and Mayhem series, but with two years passed since the release of the first book, personally, I’d forgotten much of what happened. Luckily, Ms. Kennedy does a great job of reminding readers about the key events needed to understand and enjoy Witches Be Burned. I feel that a reader could easily pick up the book without having read the first one.Nexi, who grew up not knowing about supernatural beings, is both a witch and a guardian, making her un [...]

    11. Werewolves Be Damned introduced us to Nexi, Kayden and Kennedy's intriguing worlds - Otherworld, Earthworld and the Underworld - with vampires, shifters, witches and guardians. Witches Be Burned picks up three months after the events of Werewolves Be Damned. Nexi, ½ witch, ½ guardian, has accepted her life in the supernatural world. As was her mother's, Nexi's unique blood contains power and is enticing to vampires. This, in addition to the losses she's suffered, leads Kayden to be overprotect [...]

    12. Witches Be Burned by Stacey Kennedy is a 2015 Loveswept publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the Magic & Mayhem series. I somehow missed the first book, but I had no problems catching up. Kyden and Nexi have finally defeated the vampire who killed Nexi's family. Now, Nexi is ready to take on her role as a white witch and as a guardian. However, Kyden is so overprotective of Nexi, he is hold [...]

    13. This is A Magic & Mayhem novel and is the second book in this series. I haven’t read the first book, but I had no trouble catching up.Nexi is a guardian and a spirit witch, and she and her boyfriend Kyden, along with the rest of the guardians, are hunting the vampires that are suddenly springing up around the human cities. They’re attacking and killing humans in fits of bloodlust. Then they kill a guardian and the stakes become higher.Nexi is fighting Kyden’s need to protect her while [...]

    14. I have not read the first book of the series Werewolves Be Damned, which was one of the reasons why it took me so long to finally pick Witches Be Burned up. Another reason was that I’m not a big fan of books that include witches. Never been, never will. That said I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Witches Be Burned was entertaining and the action scenes were pretty vivid. Also I really liked the little prologue in the beginning, without it I would probably have been a lot more lost. It he [...]

    15. I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest reviewThough this is the second book of the series, I hadn't read the first and had no problem jumping right into the story (there's an informative prologue at the beginning explaining book one). However, I think my enjoyment was not as complete as it could have been, therefore, I recommend reading the first book for character and world building. The best part of the novel was the supernatural world created by Ms. Kennedy-- I loved [...]

    16. Copy provided by publisher and netgalley in return for an honest review. This standalone is the second book in the Magic and Mayhem series, following on the heels of Werewolves Be Damned. Kennedy is a new author for me, but I had no difficulty following the story because of the character guide and synopsis of book one at the first of this book. That is a nice touch. And while the story was a little slow in getting off the ground, when it did it was worth the wait. There was nonstop action, suspe [...]

    17. I've read quite a few books from Stacey Kennedy. Actually she had me as a fan after I read Supernaturally Kissed (LOVED that story!). That being said, I'm not sure how to express myself for Witches Be Burned. It didn't suck, there was a ton of action and interesting magical properties that show us how amazing this authors imagination truly is. I think it just might be the fact that I didn't read the first book of the series and felt as if I walked into a movie half-way in. I just couldn't get in [...]

    18. I gave it 3.5 starsI liked both Nexi and Kyden from the beginning of WEREWOLVES BE DAMNED and their relationship being so strong at the end of the book made me excited to see where their relationship would go next. After finishing WITCHES BE BURNED I'm just not sure what I feel. I enjoyed the story, but I'm not to crazy about the introduction of another possible love interest for Nexi. I see a lot of struggle in her future and I am hoping that she is able to pull herself through it. Having said [...]

    19. I liked the story line and there was some awesome action, and hot love scenes, but I found my self rushing through the book as it did tend to drag a little at times. I loved Kyden's character but Nexi seemed to annoy me a little, she wasn't a very strong character at all. Sorry, I was hoping for more.

    20. Fast read. Action packed adventure. Soulful sexy times. Revenge plot. New arc. Wonderful Saturday novel to get lost in.

It was so wonderful to return t [...]

    23. I was lucky enough to receive a review copy from the publisher through NetGalley. I really enjoy Stacey Kennedy's books and was excited to try a new-to-me series. Witches Be Burned is the 2nd book in the Magic and Mayhem series, yet I didn't feel lost at all starting with this book. I felt like Ms. Kennedy did a great job of catching up her readers on what all had happened in the first book.I enjoyed Witches Be Burned and absolutely loved many of the characters, Kyden especially. I liked Nexi, b [...]

    24. ***A gifted copy was provided by NetGalley for an honest review******This is the second book in author Stacey Kennedy’s Magic & Mayhem series called “Witches be Burned”. It’s an erotic, earthy paranormal romance novel about “a rookie guardian sworn to combat the undead risks life and love in a world of violence, witchcraft, and seduction.”Nexi Jones is a guardian who is also a spirit witch. She has been guardian duties but at least she is still a witch. She still has to learn the [...]

    25. I'm honestly not sure where to begin with this one. I've tired to really dig my heals into it and read, but I don't like pushing myself to read a book. I think a book should either hold my attention, or I should move on.So that is where I am at this point. I'm stopping at 30% because I don't feel I should have to trudge through it.Why I feel that way? I was asked to read this by the publisher due to the my love for paranormal romance and because I recently reviewed a few other paranormal romance [...]

    26. Review***I received a copy of Witches Be Burned via Loveswept and NetGalley for an honest review.***What a great fantasy read. I truly am loving these worlds that exist within our own. Magic and Mayhem is correct. We’ve been duped folks. The atrocities in the world have been conducted by rogue vampires, werewolves and demons, or so says Stacey Kennedy. Witches Be Burned is the second installment of the Magic and Mayhem series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Though the intense physical relat [...]

    27. I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review.Nexi Jones is a witch learning to practice white magic after she loses her guardian status. With the world going crazy, Nexi has to step up to the plate whether she is ready or not. Luckily for Nexi she still has her sexy guardian Kyden to stand by her side. Kyden and Nexi have to work together to figure out who is behind all of these vampire attacks. Hopefully along the way they can work on their communication issues and Kyden [...]

    28. I didn't read the first book in the series but had no trouble following this book from the very beginning. Just loved Nexi. Her love for Kyden, her friends, and her willingness to put others before herself made her a wonderful character. The fact that she was sassy and had a little bit of trouble keeping her mouth shut no matter the situation had me laughing through out the book. I also enjoyed that the author made her strong enough to fight her own battles. The love between Nexi and Kyden is nev [...]

    29. I received this ARC from NetGalley in return for a fair and honest review which I will cross-post to etc upon release. This is the second book in the Magic & Mayhem series, although I haven't read book 1. This in no way disrupted my enjoyment of this book as there is a prologue at the beginning and also snippets put in where needed so that you know the main points of the story but obviously reading book 1 would be recommended to get the absolute best out of the story. The main characters of N [...]
