    1. This had a certain charm - a heroine who is resourceful without being foolhardy, and an amusing plot centred around the exploits of various people who have been in the SOE during the war and may still be involved in dome fairly nefarious goings-on. If you like Hill's Francis Oughterard books you'll probably enjoy this one, with its similar period setting, but it isn't as funny or as quirky. A quick light read.

    2. I found this a struggle. I liked Hill's Francis Oughterard series, and after being a bit disappointed in the one of these that I had read I gave the first one a try from the library, but it didn't grab me. There's a lot going on - some times too much - and I just found it all a bit much. I have one more in my library book bag, but I'm not sure if I'll read it or not.

    3. Seemed to drag in places. The characters were interesting in their own ways. Might check to see if author has more books.

    4. Started out well, witty and amusing. However it unfortunately became an average read for me. Last 2/3 book bordered on tedious at times and ending lack fulfillment.

    5. Started well. Rather long and drawn out through the middle. Decent plot and all threads neatly tied up at the end. Entertaining in places.
