    1. This is my Mums cookery book and aways remember cooking from it from a young age at home. Fairly traditional and quintessentially British it is an excellent resource crammed full of recipes. It has some 432 pages! The book was published in relation to a series that aired on television during the 70's and 80's, called the Farmhouse Kitchen.     2. This book I use over and over since the early '80s. (And it shows). For me it is a goldmine for baking and preserving recipes which you hardly can find in the usual Dutch book.I learned the basics of jammaking by this book (there are mouthwatering recipes too), there is a good section for pickles as well, and with my sweet tooth I just loooove all the high tea bakery stuff recipes.Ofcourse there is much more, from starters to desserts, from savoury to sweet, from solid dishes to liquid drinks.De [...]

    3. Got this book as a gift when I left my dear au-pair family in July 1993. Love the book eversince and using it too!!! Love the vast amount of recipes, there is just so much!!
