    1. Very good book. Caleb is new to the Seven Poplars community. He moved there with his daughter for a fresh start after lsoing his wife in a fire that also scarred him. As a single father of a little girl, things are pretty rough for him. Amelia is very mischievous and more than a little stubborn. Several young women have attempted to work as housekeepers and childcare but haven't lasted long. Rebecca's family volunteers her to make the attempt. It isn't long before she has Amelia straightened out [...]

    2. Caleb is new to the community and the new preacher. His young daughter is a handful and she has already gotten a reputation of being hard to handle. Rebecca is volunteered by her family to help look after the girl and help with the housework. Rebecca soon finds herself falling for the new preacher but could she be too late? I have enjoyed reading the books in this series. This book was fun to read. What I liked: Rebecca was very likeable. Her interactions with Caleb made me laugh out loud a lot. [...]

    3. This book is such an encouraging and enduring read that will have you turning pages until the end. I really enjoy Amish community based books and this one did not disappoint. In this story we follow the characters on their journey through life while holding to their beliefs, their sense of family and believing in the power of love, faith and forgiveness. The male lead is the community’s new preacher who is a widower and has his hands full with a young daughter that is struggling to learn the p [...]

    4. My Thoughts On This BookI really love this story, the plain life of the characters will warm your heart and draw themselves close to you. I thought Rebecca’s reaction stealing a glance at the new the preacher was adorable, and I was really hoping the two would get together from the beginning. Rebecca being in Caleb and his daughter’s life is just what they needed to help them heal from losing their wife and mother. This is a wonderful. special book to read during the Holiday Season, and I rea [...]

    5. I really enjoyed this Amish read. The community is there for one another, and the help continues until things are better! We have Rebecca with an attraction to the new Preacher, Caleb Wittner. He is a times rude to her, hiding his feelings, or trying to deal with them. He is new to the community and God has chosen him to be the new Preacher. Wow, what a new life he has walked into. He lost his wife in a fire, where he carries the burden of not being able to save her. He was also was disfigured i [...]

    6. Rebecca’s Christmas Gift by Emma Miller is another of book in her Hannah’s Daughter’s series. Caleb Wittner is a widow and a father to Amelia who is sometimes a bit mischievous. Caleb has had quite a few ladies in their community try and help with tending to Amelia but she needs someone special to take her in hand. Rebecca Yoder is a young lady that seems to be able to do just that. She’s full of life and seems to even turn Caleb’s surly manners to one that is at least one that is tole [...]

    7. A Heart Warmer!I have read many books by author Emma Miller. She did not let me down with this fantastic Christmas read. Her books are about God, Family, Love, Forgiveness, and Faith.Sometimes we try to control our lives and the situations in our lives instead of letting go and letting God. This is exactly what happened in this story.I am sure that you will love the main characters in this book as much as I did. Rebecca Yoder is a young lady full of life. Caleb Wittner is a widow that has a lot [...]

    8. Rebecca's Christmas Gift by Emma Miller is a very good book. I would recommend it. It takes place in a Amish community. A new preacher, Caleb, moves to the Amish community. He has a young daughter. She is healing from losing her mother in a fire. Caleb has a scar on one side of his face and on one hand from trying to save his wife in a house fire. Rebecca sees his pain. Rebecca babysits Amelia and helps her heal from her lose. Caleb is also healing. They find love.

    9. I read this on the KindleI finished the 7th book in this series & enjoyed this oneWhile it may not keep you as riveted as some it was a good storyI still think that if you have read each of the books in order it seems in part be back in time soas where something happen it set as if it not or is happening but it sort of mention as a sideline so it not too bad I am looking forward to the 8th book in the series

    10. This was an enjoyable Amish book. I had not read any other stories from this series but had no trouble following along. I liked the way the relationship slowly grew between Rebecca and Caleb, but was frustrated, at times, with Caleb's sternness and some of the decisions he was making. This was an uplifting story.

    11. I really enjoyed this book. I haven't read many books on Amish life so some of the traditional words that were use where a little confusing to me, however I was easily able to figure them out. I didn't think that I would enjoy this book as much as did but was really good. I felt for the characters struggles and found that I couldn't put this book down!!

    12. This is a good book. Miller manages to capture the love and warmth that comes from being part of a large family. The sisters are all part of each other's lives, which adds to the plot. Caleb was well written. His aloofness and bluntness were believable. Rebecca, on the other hand, was too perfect. Surely good Amish woman will have shortcomings as well! I also wish that Amelia was given more attention as opposed to using her solely for plot progression. All in all, it is an enjoyable but shallow [...]

    13. Rebecca's Christmas Gift by Emma Miller was a very enjoyable book for me. I found myself getting lost in this sweet Amish romance that I read quickly in a couple hours on a blustery Saturday afternoon. I can't think of a better way to spend a bleary, cold day! The book introduces us to Caleb Wittner who has just moved to Seven Poplars Delaware after the death of his wife in a devastating fire. He too suffered burns to part of his face and hands, which has left him disfigured. He is now a widowed [...]

    14. SUMMARY: During the Christmas season, Rebecca Yoder agrees to help new preacher Caleb Wittner with his mischievous daughter. Amelia's turned the community of Seven Poplars upside down. Only Rebecca can see the pain hidden beneath the little girl's antics—and her father's brusque manner. After losing his wife in a fire, Caleb's physical scars may be healing, but his emotions have not. Yet Rebecca's sweet manner soon has him smiling and laughing with his daughter—and his pretty housekeeper. So [...]

    15. Hannah's daughter Rebecca has her work cut out for herEveryone else who has tried to help Caleb Wittner has quit, saying he is impossible to please. He has been called boring, rude and harsh. And his daughter has been described as spoiled and hard to manage. Why would Rebecca want to get involvedThe author does a superb job showing Rebecca's reasons for hesitating on top of the many complaints, Caleb has just been chosen to be one of the preachers - a job that will last all his lifetime.Well, sh [...]

    16. 4 STARSThis is the 3rd book of Hannah's Daughter that I have read. I enjoyed reading it. It is a sweet story of a Father raising his daughter by himself after his wife dies. Caleb not only just moved to a different state, but also became chosen as a preacher in his Amish Church. The characters are enjoyable and I got caught up in their lives. I wanted things to workout with Rebecca.Amelia is a cute little girl who sometimes is quiet a handful. I like how the community is helpful and caring. Not p [...]

    17. This is the first book I've read by this author & must say I really enjoyed reading it!!! I look forward to reading more books by this author as well!!! I liked the words used , as I read the story I could place myself in the story & feel how the people in the story felt. There were times I found it hard to stop reading as I just had to find out what happened next.As I read the story I didn't know how it was going to end but I do love how the story ended!!! Caleb Wittner was a person wit [...]

    18. I'd been waiting for Rebecca's story & was not disappointed. Rebecca becomes the housekeeper/nanny for new Amish preacher Caleb Wittner, a widower new to town with a 4-year-old daughter, Amelia. As Caleb adjusts to his new life & responsibilities, he realizes he needs a wife. He also believes Rebecca is too young & flighty to be a preacher's wife, so he sets his sights on cousin Dorcast knowing Rebecca has feelings for him.More insights into Amish life, and found the Old Order select [...]

    19. Probably closer to 3.5 stars, this was an interesting, quick Amish read. It would have been wonderful to hear a little bit more about the Amish teens that were being drawn into a bad group of English teens, but I liked the way things were going to be done to help them. Perhaps this could be a follow-up story if it isn't already. The main story, about a widower who lost his wife in a fire and his young daughter, was the focus of the book. Rebecca was patient and caring, and the Lord used her to h [...]

    20. The new preacher in town is a widower with a young girl. He has problem keeping someone to help watch her during the day. Rebecca comes to take care of her and his daughter and her gets along good. She starts to like him but he is not ready to date yet and he doesn't always agreed with some things she does when taking care of his daughter. Her aunt wants her cousin Dorcas to marry him but Dorcas doesn't really want to but Rebecca won't interfere. Of course, all works all in the end and recommend [...]

    21. First off, I do know that it is not Christmas time. But thought this might be for someone who needs the warmth of this book, Christmas or not. With that being said, this book was not only a great read but also an inspiration. From the beautiful cover to the last words:To read more of my review: breathoflifebookreviewssp

    22. This was an enjoyable story. Rebecca has been waiting for some time for her story to be told. Little Amelia was a treasure. And Caleb was just what was needed in a preacher.I have really enjoyed Emma Miller's stories!

    23. Return to a Amish community in Seven Poplars, Delaware. Rebecca helps the new preacher and his daughter and falls in love. Caleb, still hurting from losing his wife, feels he must find a mother for his daughter, Amelia, but feels obligated to Rebecca's cousin, Dorcas.217 pages

    24. A really good storyFinally, I've found an Amish story that is well-written, well-edited, and actually contains "romantic tension"! Curl up with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and -- enjoy!
