    1. A quick read. The premise is that by doing 1% better every time you do something, the power of compounding means you'll be twice as good after 71 times. People often try to make big leaps of improvement, get overwhelmed, and quit. The idea of just getting 1% better seems far more doable, and the effects add up surprisingly quickly. It's a powerful idea, but instead of telling the reader the message directly, the author couches the whole thing in a story. We follow a guy through getting put on pro [...]

    2. Recently, I read "Change Your World in 71 Days." My initial assumption about this book was definitely incorrect. I assumed that this was a self-help book, where an expert was sharing advice, which was not something they had actually completed themselves. Connellan discusses how applicable changing his world in 71 days, as well as how applicable it was for those he shared the information with at work and at home. I really enjoyed this book because the advice was focused. Connellan suggests changi [...]

    3. Change Your World in 71 Days: How to Get Maximum Results with Minimum Change. The principle of incremental improvement is not new - but the approach given in this book is.Many of us are familiar with the concept that is is the small microdecisions we take so many times a day which lead to change. But what drives change? What motivates us?By using the power of story telling for members of a fictional family the author demonstrates how, by focusing on the key elements of the goal and using a small [...]

    4. Mr Connellan, I want my money back. This is the most poorly written crap literature I have ever wasted my time on. You explained your theory in one paragraph. The rest of the book was a nonsense pamphlet of useless amecdotes from a fantasy story. More shallow than a diet book, this read was not even engaging. And how do you gauge "1%" anyway? What is 1% of a diet? 1% of a sales call? I finished in 30 minutes and still have no idea how to cut out 1% of a daily activity. And thanks for the element [...]

    5. Interesting and inspiring book that shows how if you make tiny, 1% changes every day in an area, after 71 days you've doubled your efforts. Most of us can handle tiny incremental improvments over time. Written as a novel, it's a quick read, but has some good information. It goes hand in hand with the book "The 1% Solution" which is sort of a practical application of this book.
