    2. Al has a great list of really superb books, and he loaned a copy of this collection of Goytisolo's essays from the Spanish newspaper El Pais to me. Goytisolo's prose is sharp and bright; his reporting is partisan and objective, presenting dead-on evaluations substantiated by real, on-the-ground journalism.
