    1. I've been waiting patiently for this book to be releasedd it most definitely did not disappoint!!!This is probably the best book of the series so far! So, in this epic novel, we see what remains of Cross' team as they trek across the map trying to find each other. We see Ronan realise he is human after all; we see Cross find some new friends that help him in ways he didn't expect; we see old friends depart and also, we see Black change in so many ways you may get lost!I haven't even scratched th [...]

    2. Simply put, this is one of the best series to date I have read, vivid and imaginative settings or perhaps better described as bleak, dark and intensely brutal but this post apocalyptic world is unforgiving and even surviving is not an easy concept to imagine. In an attempt to give the undead the magical power of the warlocks the Ebon Cities have created the Witches Eye, the plan being the end of the Southern Claw resistance and finally the end of human existence. The Witches Eye doesn't quite wor [...]

    3. Wow, simply WOW! This series keeps getting better and better! This one had a different feel than the previous books, with the team almost completely separated at the start. Through the machinations of the White Spider, they are brought back together (most of them, anyway) with a special new addition to the team. While I have a love/hate relationship with the cliffhanger endings, this one was fantastic! How long do I have to wait until the next book?

    4. Full review over at Fantasy Book Critic.OVERVIEW/ANALYSIS: Steven Montano’s books have made me a fan of his after I first came across his debut last year. Even though it was a bit rough, the potential within in regards to the writing and the series convinced me that this was an author worth paying attention to. Since then I've read and reviewed all four books of the Blood Skies series and it’s safe to say I haven’t been disappointed. Before I begin the review, I would like to re-iterate th [...]

    5. Steven Montano is experimenting with a lot of things in this series and sometimes he hits the mark sometimes he misses the mark.I really hope this author gets picked up by a major publishing house because i feel he has a lot to offer

    6. In The Witch's Eye Eric Cross's ruthless team of mercenaries deals with struggles that they have never faced before. This well oiled team is scattered throughout the land and each surviving member of the team struggle's to not only find the remaining members but the terrible Witch's Eye, the source of the vast evil of Witchborn, that devours anything in its path. But those aren't their only struggles, each of them has to survive and overcome personal battles that can just as easily destroy them. [...]

    7. I don’t normally read back-to-back books in the same genre, much less from the same author. I like to mix things up to keep my perspective fresh. What I like to do meant nothing, however, when I finished Crown of Ash (my review), the fourth book in author Steven Montano’s (@Daezarkian) excellent Blood Skies series, last weekend. I had to know what happened next, so on the following Monday (it’s Wednesday morning as I write this review) I started The Witch’s Eye (Blood Skies Book 5). I to [...]

    8. The Witch's Eye takes a defensive stance and spins its power to destroy everything along its path. The evil witch uses the power of the eye like a beacon of light to manipulate the pathways and summons the only ones who can block her craving for ultimate domination. Even with the characters feeling the strain on their stamina, the desire to protect their tightly knit family continues. Eric Cross, Danica, Ronan, and Maur have been on semi-separate journeys throughout the last few books, but they [...]

    9. That was all I hoped it would be. Well almost. Ideally I would say 4.5 but let me give credit where its due. Steven has done an exceptional job of bringing the pieces together and giving us some respite after three books of hurt and pain. Its still not closure yet but you feel that the midpoint has been achieved. You can feel the empathy that Steven has developed for his characters and his writing style has been toned down thus allowing him to focus more on the plot rather than describing the la [...]

    10. Very good read. This book goes into buddy mode, pairing up most characters. My favorite parts are the introduction of back story, this time we get more than just Cross, and th odd new abominations that leak from Steven's mind and onto the page. We see the characters suffer so much to protect their fragile way of life. The With's Eye must be stopped at all costs. We see new characters introduced and new ways for the existing cast to operate. I am convinced Cross is the John McClane of his age, wi [...]
