    1. GENRE: CONTEMPORARY ROMANCEPUBLISHER: LOVE INSPIRED BOOKSPUBLICATION DATE: JULY 24, 2012 RATING: 5 OUT OF 5 – NEAR PERFECTPROS: Flawless execution of what could have been a predictable plot; consistent feeling of a tight-knit community; fleshed-out secondary characters that didn’t overpower the main storyline; Cheyenne’s emotions were very relatable; realistic portrayal of being blind; didn’t glorify war when describing Reese’s time in actionCONS: None! When Reese Cooper ran into Cheyen [...]

    3. I thoroughly enjoyed reading "The Rancher's Secret Wife" and I thought it was a wonderful third installment in the Cooper Creek Series. I loved the story plot and the characters were absolutely phenomenal, especially Reese and Cheyenne. I would certainly recommend this book and series to anyone who enjoys Christian romance.

    4. The Rancher's Secret Wife (Cooper Creek, book 3) by Brenda Minton 4 STARS This story just makes me happy. They both are going through tough times right now. But thier best to work out the best solution for the future. This is a very clean book no swear words or sex scenes it doesn't need. Reese Cooper bumped into a women in Las Vegas who then fell apart on him. Cheyenne Jones was working two jobs a waitress and showgirl. Her husband did not really marry her. He wastes most of her paychecks on ga [...]

    5. BRENDA MINTON is one of my favorite authors. I’ve read just about every book she’s written, and love them all. THE RANCHER’S SECRET WIFE was no exception. As soon as I saw the cover I was hooked. The title was an extra bonus. Those things are important tools to draw me in with books by other authors, but when it comes to MS MINTON’S books, I know what awaits me inside. Cheyenne Jones is just stopping by Dawson, Oklahoma to check on the man she married six months ago. She has no plans of [...]

    6. KcLu's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews4.5 StarsThe Rancher’s Secret Wife is the first book I have read by Brenda Minton, and I have to say I will be looking for more. I grew up reading faith based romance novels, and have to say this one is beyond great!! I cried like a fool through it. The hero is Reese, and he is a recently injured veteran. As the sister of a Marine, I absolutely loved the way she handled not only his injury recovery but his PTSD too.Cheyenne has come to Dawso [...]

    7. Title: The Rancher’s Secret WifeAuthor: Brenda MintonSeries: Love Inspired Cooper CreekChapters: 14 plus epiloguePages: 215Genre: Christian RomanceRating: 5 stars Reese Cooper married Cheyenne Jones before he left for Iraq in order to give her and her unborn baby a better life. While he was gone she would have his health insurance, if he didn’t come back then she would have his life insurance. However no one saw him coming back injured and blind. Cheyenne Jones Cooper shows up in Dawson Okla [...]

    8. This is a charming love story! You will really feel for and enjoy these characters. Reese and Cheyenne only meet for a few hours before getting married. When Reese comes back from war with some scars will he be willing to step up and take care of Cheyenne? Will Cheyenne be willing to live with the Reese who has come back so different? I gave this book 5/5 stars. I enjoyed the two main characters. I thought they were very well written. It is a story that could actually take place and that made it [...]

    9. This is a really sweet story. After knowing Cheyenne for all of three hours, in Vegas no less, Reese Cooper marries her, because she is pregnant and alone. He was getting ready to ship out to Afghanistan and he figured that she could use the insurance and possibly the death benefit if something happened to him.And something did happen, he was in an attack that he was the only survivor of, and he ended up blind. Cheyenne showed up at his home after she heard about the accident and finds her strong [...]

    10. Okay, I need to say it. This novel was romantic. I mean it wasn't the best I've read but I did fall in love with the heroine. I did enjoy reading about Reece. I was sad that Reece was blind, although he never let that slow him down. The hero and heroine seemed to have this perfect bond that meshed so well together. It was kind of beautiful!

    11. Best book of the whole series! Went to bed wiht 37% read and couldn't go to sleep until I finished it! GREAT story I will read again VERY soon.

    12. Beautiful romance and love the Reese and Cheyenne storyI really enjoy this book full of compassion and learning how life can change what a beautiful love inspired Christian romance and not preachy in anyway !! Really enjoy Brenda Minton as new too her and can't wait read more by her.

    13. This is the 1st book I read by Brenda Minton. I loved this book's story line. I loved Cheyenne's character. I felt sorry Cheyenne. I loved Reese's character. My heart broke for Reese. I loved the ending. Awesome job Ms. Minton.

    14. The Rancher’s Secret Wife is the first book I have read by Brenda Minton. The book starts out in Las Vegas when Cheyenne, a waitress, is really upset because the father of her baby tried to get her to have an abortion. She wants to keep the baby but does not know how she can make it. Along comes Reece, a cowboy, who is getting ready to go fight in the war. He decides to help her out by marring her. While he is gone she will get insurance and some money. After the baby is born they will dissolv [...]

    15. Review also on my blog passionforpages/20I'm a huge fan of Harlequin, mainly their Blaze line, but I loved the cover for The Rancher's Secret Wife and the (short) summary sounded good. It was a sweet story, and I loved the plot line, but I was a little disappointed. It felt like the story just came together too nicely,. There was no conflict like there would be in a real life situation like this (although the situation was a little far-fetched) or real emotions from the characters. Everything wa [...]

    16. “The Rancher’s Secret Wife” by Brenda Minton is published by Love Inspired Books. Cheyenne Jones is pregnant and pulling up in front of the Cooper home in Dawson, Oklahoma, to check on Reese Cooper. It seems she was notified that he had been injured in the line of duty and she needed to know how he was doing. Reese Cooper had been on his way overseas when he ran into Cheyenne in Las Vegas. They married in order that her baby would have a name and so that in the event that Reese didn’t re [...]

    17. At First Sight: Cheyenne has made some bad decisions in her life and she knows that driving out to see Reese Cooper is probably one of them. But Reese, after knowing her all of three hours, offered to marry her so she could get medical insurance while he was away in Afghanistan and she was pregnant. So, after learning he was injured overseas, Cheyenne decides to go see him before finding a place to settle down and have her baby. Things don't go as planned with Reese or his family - mostly becaus [...]

    18. Reese first met Cheyenne in Las Vegas when he literally bumped into her walking out of a cafe. Pregnant and betrayed by the man who she thought was her husband, Cheyenne is alone and penniless. Reese, a soldier on his way to fight in Afghanistan, has a soft heart for those in need of help and offers a simple solution to Cheyenne's problems: marry him and qualify for spousal insurance through the Army. When Cheyenne's baby is born, the marriage will be annulled and they will never need see each o [...]

    19. Homigosh, if you like whining, this is the book for you.So Cooper meets Cheyenne in Vegas, where she's waiting tables, knocked up, and abandoned. She's broke and already crying which continues the ENTIRETY of the book. He's about to deport to Afghanistan (which is why I picked it up - I like soldier stories), and he figures he'll marry her, put her on his insurance so her baby's birth is covered, and when the baby's born, they'll annul the marriage. So now he's back from the military, but trying [...]

    20. It started out as a marriage of connivence Cheyenne was stranded alone and pregnant. Reece was about to be deployed on a dangerous mission, he could afford to marry her giving Cheyenne the safety of his name. This way she could have insurance for the baby. But then Reece is injured and comes back home. Cheyenne is still struggling to find her way, and when she learns about Reece she goes to Dawson, Oklahoma to offer him help. Reece never told anyone he had married Cheyenne, after all they were p [...]

    21. First and foremost I would like to thank Love Inspired Books, an imprint of Harlequin, for allowing me to read an Advanced Reader EBook of Brenda Minton’s “The Rancher’s Secret Wife”.“The Rancher’s Secret Wife” was a quick, fun read and if pressed to describe it in two words I would say sweet romance. Before delving too deeply into my impressions of the book I would like to forewarn you that it is the third book in a series, a fact that I did not realize until the end when I read a [...]

    22. I was in the mood for short mindless romances and NetGalley provided this one and others. If you can get past the highly improbable premise for this book it isn't a bad story. Reese came home blind and is having to re-learn how to do everything. Luckily for him, he is part owner of the family ranch and he is a member of a large supportive family. Cheyenne thinks that no one loves her. The father of her baby abandoned them. She was adopted by her parents, and later overheard them make a comment w [...]

    23. I stumbled upon this series through my local library e-book selection. I added the rest of the titles to my wanted list and read them if they come available. They're a light romance although I wouldn't say they're light-hearted. I enjoy Minton's characters as they are never perfect - which can sometimes be an issue for me in Christian novels. I also enjoy that she doesn't "preach". The characters experience ups & downs and have to resolve their issues - life doesn't just become a rosy happy- [...]

    24. A wonderful 4 1/2 stars! This was a sweet and very unique love story from Brenda Minton. I was swept away by Reece's courage, even when it left him a bit unsure of his future. I enjoyed Cheyenne faith in God and her pure love for Reece that left her heart 'blind' to his new disability. You could tell from the beginning that she truly loved the man within, but her own doubts held her back. I would've loved to get a glimpse of the letters she wrote to Reece while he was in the Middle East, but the [...]

    25. Pleasantley surprised by this one. Usually I tend to think they will be cheesy and unrealistic. I found this one not to be the case. I loved Cheyenne and Resse working thought there struggle and fears together and ending up falling in love too.

    26. After wedding in Vegas before leaving for Afghanistan, Reese Cooper comes home blind from a roadside bomb. His new wife in name only, Cheyenne Jones, still needs help with her pregnancy and then new baby. Will he be up for the task is he can't do things for himself?

    27. Love Inspired Aug 2012Wounded veteran of Afghanistan war, blind.Pregnant, broke heroine She bugged me alot.Liked the Cooper family.
