    1. What a great book! I loved the book quotes, I loved Cheris and her nervous habit of spouting movie quotes. I loved Geoff in all his nerdiness. I am a sucker for a nerd. This book made me laugh so hard sometimes. Monnie Tsunami is great. Just a wonderful story that made me close the book with a smile.

    2. Cheris McDowell finds herself in a hotel room, sleeping beside a husband she doesn’t remember marrying. In fact, she remembers nothing of that night. The sensible solution, she reasons, is a speedy divorce. Unfortunately, things don’t go according to plan.First, there’s her best friend Janie, a carefree artist and the groom’s sister, who thinks Cheris and Geoff are perfect together. Then there’s Janie’s and Geoff’s parents, especially their mother Monnie, who is determined the coup [...]

    3. Originally posted at: longandshortreviews.cCheris doesn't do spontaneous. She doesn't do one night stands. She most certainly doesn't do eloping with a man she just met. But apparently, she did. She woke up married and she doesn't even remember the event! Cheris is the type of woman that doesn't dream of that sort of thing. She feels that she doesn't belong in the kind of life that Geoff lives. He's got a great family, somewhat well off, and Cheris sees that as beyond her reach. She grew up a fa [...]

    4. Cheris McDowell has her life in order. She's got a great apartment, a great job, and great friends—one of which needs her support at a local art show. The only problem is the Alice In Wonderland display and the handsome man in the tuxedo who “double dog dares” Cheris to eat the piece of cake in the exhibit. It’s only cake, right? Wrong! And when Cheris wakes up the next morning…in a hotel room…wearing only the hunky stranger’s shirt and a wedding ring, she hightails it back home. O [...]

    5. I really like Jennifer Johnson. She is a wonderful writer and really draws you in. This is my second book I have read by her. Rescue Me was the first. This book begins in away that almost anyone would dread. Cheris wakes in a hotel room, half naked, in bed with a man she doesn't remember, and a wedding band. What does she do? High tail it as fast as she can out of there and hopes to never look back. If only it were really that simple. The love story begins as Geoff is fully ready to win over the [...]
