    1. Wow, I am surprised this book has an average rating of 4 plus! I started off really enjoying the series and the characters. But this last book started to ruin it for me. The romance between Caia and Lucien really started to bug me in this book because they really are quick to be dishonest and distrustful of one another. Really? If you are really truly in love with a person you would believe the best not the worst when something doesn't make sense (like when Caia gets kicked out of the pack). And [...]

    2. As much as I loved the first two books in the Lunarmorte series Blood Solstice was my favorite! It was so well written and sooooo very much going on! Reading the Lunarmorte series was my first introduction to Samantha Young and I have not only read more of her books because of how awesome this series was done but I eagerly look forward to all her future works! She is such an excellent writer with and excellent imagination and brings everything and everyone in her stories together so well and alw [...]

    3. Read extras from the book and more reviews on my blog!remarkablereads-sandraspoThis book picks up right where the last one left off, with Caia kidnapped by none other than Reuben. It turns out that our favorite vamp is actually Kirios a 2,000 year old second generation blood sucker, who witnessed the start of the war between daylights and midnights. He has been waiting a long time for Caia to be born and finally bring this pointless war to an end, the only problem is she does not agree with his [...]

    4. This is the final installment in the Lunamorte trilogy. Caia is coming to grips with her power and stepping into her role as a leader. As usual, there has to be some disagreement between her and Lucien that could separate them forever. I don't really get it. Young does this in all of her novels. It always seems that something really minor causes this huge rift that we have to deal with. I do like the books though. They are pure escapism. Samantha Young's worlds are unique and fresh. I like how i [...]

    5. The entire Lunarmorte trilogy was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be recommending it to anyone and everyone I know that enjoys paranormal romance as much as I do. And this trilogy has easily become one of my all-time favorites. The storyline was amazing, the characters were amazing, and the love story was AMAZING. Lucien and Caia's love was so passionate and I felt my heart aching with them so many times throughout the book. I admit I wasn't a big fan of the reverse love triangle and was qu [...]

    6. It was cool. Not bad. It went a little bit as expected; not very surprising, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I really loved Reuben of all people. I thought his relationship with Caia was really cute and he played a big part in the end. Speaking of the end, that last epilogue-thing with the Gods was unnecessary. I liked the 3 years later flashforward, but the information about the trace was not needed. It leaves something to be desired. Almost like a lead-in for another book but, we all know this i [...]

    7. I loved this bookOut of the whole series this has to be by far my favourite! There were far too many 'put in the freezer moments' lol but i think thats why i loved it so much! It ment to me that i had fully got attached to these characters! Now i have to admit i was probably a little to upset that Caia didn't go and do some serious ass whooping on Rose ESPECIALLY when it was discovered what she did! This is just an epic book from start to finish! I have to wonder though, is there going to be a s [...]

    8. SPOILERS!!While this book had the potential to be great, it wasn't quite as good as the 2nd book, River Cast. So, we discover who Reuben is.a 2400 year old Vamp who was not only around when the War began, but was part of the reason why it started. And I have to say I like him even more now than before, kinda the bad guy or not. We learn more about Saffron and her past and I have to say, I love her too I forgot to mention her in the other reviews, but I actually like her. Bitchiness and all. She [...]

    9. WHAT AN AWESOME FINISH TO A FANTASTIC SERIES!! Goodness, I finished a few hours ago and I still have this completely satisfied feeling.I LOVED the action of this book, I didn't think it could get much better in terms of action and suspense and romance, but Blood Solstice took over and wouldn't let me go. I was so involved in the plot that even though I saw how much everyone loved the book and the ending, I still was heartbroken when Lucien died and was crying with Caia when she thought he was de [...]

    10. I wish I could say I loved this trilogy. It had all the key elements to be a great ya romance novel except the romance part. There is couples in these books but between the dishonesty, drama and border line cheating on the male leads part just made it very distasteful as a romance. Even at the end Lucien did not believe his mate about his ex lover. Yet she not only believes him about not kissing his ex along with several other idiotic things he does, she starts a relationship with him again to h [...]

    11. Emotional ExplosionThe build of emotions from book 1 and 2 blew up in my face. Everything was intensified. My adoration and respect for some, my hatred and rage for others all escalated to the point that I felt short of breath. This third & final installment in the Lunarmorte series was superb in every way. It jump starts with Caia's captivity and never slows down. We see her rise above again and again. Lucien, Lucien Lucien. I almost felt the need for a shiny new Lucien sized pelt hanging o [...]

    12. Having read the entire trilogy now, I'll start by saying that I LOVED THEM ALL!!!! Blood Solstice had everything from epic battle to heart-break to powerful moments of emotions. The thing I liked most about these books are the character and world definition. It gave a clear picture of what was going on, to characters that were developed, in a world that was whole. Blood Solstice also answered a lot of the questions the entire trilogy had posed (with the exception of the Epilogue obviously), not [...]

    13. This was a good ending to the trilogy. I liked how the ending went. I was surprised by it but in a good way. Everything worked out so I couldn't be happier.

    14. Great ending to a wonderful trilogy!Firstly, I want to mention how the beginning of this book starts out as a recap of what occurred in the last book, which happened in River Cast as well. I couldn't help but laugh a little like I was watching a television episode instead of reading a book since it was like "Previously on Vampire Diaries" or, in this case, "Previously in The Tale of Lunarmorte Trilogy" but I guess it would be helpful for those who had some time between reading the second and thi [...]

    15. celebrityreaders.wordpress3.5 stars -- Well I'm going to say something that doesn't really make any sense -- I stayed up til 5am finishing this book, and yet when I came out of it I was mildly disappointed. I guess I was just so excited after the conclusion of the 2nd book, and when this one started we were sort of hit with a major infodump right at the beginning and it felt a bit dry to me.The area in which this book excels, and what kept me flipping pages for more and more was the action. Ms. [...]

    16. I'm in love with this series!!!Let me just say that I'm a sucker for greek mythology and when you add my 2nd obsession with supernatural - wolfs - you get proper fangirling! And Caia, oh she is so fuck*** great character, I realy enjoyed reading her and watching her grow in this amazing powerful woman! She is like prfect combination of strong, sensitive, stubborn, loving, determined, smart, impulsive, temperamental and most of all kick ass!!!!Well realy, all characters were great and well written [...]

    17. celebrityreaders.wordpressI don’t like this cover either. I don’t really get what it has to do with the story itself. And honestly this story took a wild turn for me. The ending was underwhelming to say the least. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how easy it was for her to beat the big bad. And we never find out what her ‘special’ power is. That was a huge loose end that needed to be tied up IMO.So let’s see, you would think after ALL the trials and tribulations Caia and Lucien go [...]

    18. I am bereftI loved this book and the series as a whole - and now I've finished it *sob*.To me, book 3 was far more adult in tone, and given the circumstances of the storyline this was more than understandable. It twisted and turned in ways I wasn't necessarily expecting and I loved the use of mythology woven through the story as well, which brought more depth to the book.I do have one negative howeveryou've made it impossible for me to choose between Lucien and Ryder :( Why would you do that to [...]

    19. This third and final book of the Lunarmorte series was an enjoyable read. I did enjoy it . . . just not nearly as much as the first two books in the series. I won't say that it is a disappointment. It wasn't. I still think that it was well worth my time to read this novel. I think that the real problem with this last book in the series was that it didn't quite capture my imagination in the same way that the previous two books had done. Why was that?Well, first of all I think that the tone of the [...]

    20. Really loved the 1st book, the 2nd one was almost as good, the 3rd one kinda went downhill for me. Mostly because I think I'm harboring some pent-up feelings against Lucien and his treatment of Caia(view spoiler)[I mean first off he tells her early on he doesn't want a mate like her and pretty much makes it clear that he chooses the pack over her. Then that awful bitch Rose comes into the picture and it felt like she came out of left fieldjust insert drama here. Now I love me some drama. But whe [...]

    21. "Blood Solstice" was the perfect ending to a truly wonderful series. The story begins immediately with action, betrayl and intrigue as Caia discovers just who kidnapped her. She is shocked (So was I) but once explanations were made she understands the reasoning behind it all but does not like the task she is require to fulfill. Of course, Lucien is craze due to her absence. However, he and Ryder have problems of their own since they have been captured by Marita. During the capture Lucien's pack [...]

    22. The third and final installment of The Tale Of Lunarmorte did NOT disappoint. With non stop action, twists and turns, and enough romantic tension to kill someone I honestly can say I did not expect this book to end any other way.Samantha Young throws you into the action right where book number two left off, and let me tell you, she does not give you a second to breathe and take in all the new challenges that have been thrown at Caia. You are immediately wanting to throw things at characters, and [...]

    23. "Blood Solstice" by Samantha Young was awesome! :) I love it, and i couldn't stop reading this book. As soon as i started reading it, i couldn't stop until i was finished with it Like with the whole serie :P I give this book 4 stars :) I loved the story, and got really suprised alot of time also really shocked! Samantha had me hooked :P ! Im sad that ive finished the serie wish there was one more book where we can see, perhaps a little Caia and Lucien baby running around . Well we can always wi [...]

    24. Samantha Young's books really are the most addictive I have ever come across! I've recently been reading anything and everything of hers and I've just finished the Tale of the Lunarmorte series. I read three books in one blob, so I'm finding it a little difficult to distinguish the timing of events that occurred in the books. That is also the reason I'm writing a review for all three together. Even though these characters are all some sort of supernatural beings, they all seem so normal and from [...]

    25. The third and final instalment on the Tale of Lunarmorte series is absolutely AMAZING! It’s non-stop action, I could barely take a breath, I was racing through the book with all the characters, enjoying the twists and turns and the escalating drama. Caia is so kick-ass in this book, I totally love her. The action is one of the best parts of Blood Solstice but I love how Young explains the history of the war and there is a great historical montage in the beginning that just brings something ext [...]

    26. This one really irritated me. On so many levels. First of all, Ms. Young really needs to get an editor. Her STORY is good . . . her WRITING could be improved. (I don't think ANYone can put words on a page without good editing . . . it helps in every instance.) So many paragraphs that were PAGES in length . . . there is a REASON we have grammar . . . One of the more frustrating things about this book more than the last two is that Ms. Young spends more time TELLING than SHOWING. We spend most of [...]

    27. “The Tale of Lunarmorte” Series was so well written that there was never a dull moment and it kept me is suspense the whole time. It was like riding a rollercoaster. There were parts where I cried and others where I laughed and through out the whole book I never lost interest. Oh and did I mention that Caia kicks some serious butt in this book? In Blood Solstice you get the history of the war and how it started. I don’t want to say much more because anything I say will give the story away. [...]

    28. AMAZING!! I didn't think it was possible to love the third book more then the first two but I did! This book is action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. There isn't a moment to stop and catch your breath because there is always something happening. I have to admit that this book had me teary eyed a couple times but I loved it. Throughout the book Caia's character is challenged in ever which way mentally and physically but she never gives up. It's refreshing to read a [...]

    29. I'm kinda torn about this one. I like that it had a happy ending. I'm a sucker for that. But there where moments when I was reading that I felt the plot go dull. And it is confirmed, Lucien is really an ass. He is so frustrating. The way he trusts Caia is just so infuriating! And hello, why does he have to believe Rose? For a mate, he really is substandard! And Caia forgives him easily? I like to throttle him. He doesn't deserve her in my opinion. Anyhoo, I still enjoyed this book in general. St [...]

    30. (view spoiler)[I was hoping more from this book. I liked it, but not like I liked the others. The end is so WTF???? I I may have expected the "pregnancy" cliche or another happy ending, but this one? This is not the way that should have ended. I'm so sorry that I didn't like it very much. And about Gaia and the girls? The gods are kind of mean now? Jealous from Hades? Come on. They should be cheering for them not agaisnt them. And Lila healing Lucien? - he didn't suppost to die, you know.(hide sp [...]
